5. Conclusion
例 (预测 20): Museums and art galleries are not necessary because people
can see the historical objects and works of art in these places on
television or on the Internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
1. The mass media have become crucial means for people to gain knowledge.
In the face of this development, numbers of people think over the issue
about whether it is essential to maintain museums and art galleries
or not. My view is that both public places play a significant role and
deserve protection.
2. In the first place, the educational role of museums and galleries
cannot be replaced by any media. As repositories for knowledge,
expertise and research, museums complement the educational functions
of schools, where anyone can get access to immense knowledge as to
history, culture and arts by exhibitions, displays and events. For
example, by visiting the British Museum, visitors could deeply
understand the mysterious Egyptian culture such as Egyptian mummies,
Parthenon sculptures and so on. Therefore, for inspiring public
interests in study, the initial exposure to diverse knowledge in
museums or galleries is of necessity.
3. Another reason why museums and galleries should not be demolished is
related to the atmosphere they provide. In fact, museums and galleries
are simply about the ways to escape a fast-paced lifestyle in leisure
time for the public, in which visitors can not only appreciate the
precious antiques and brilliant artworks but also can sit down, take
a coffee break and communicate with others without any disturbance.

So, the disappearance of such places means monotonous weekends to some

extent.
4. However, those people who do not think museums and galleries essential
mainly believe that any information can be gained via media and the
money spent on maintaining physical places is then a waste. But we must
notice that children, who are lack of study awareness, need to seek
for the interests in study in these places.
5. To conclude, the mass media are only the platform for people to gain
knowledge but cannot provide an opportunity to experience the
brilliance of human civilization. Therefore, museums and galleries
should be well protected.

2. On the one hand, the view that museums and art galleries are not
essential makes sense to some extent. The point can be explained by
the fact that any information can be gained via media and the money
spent on maintaining physical places is then a waste.
3. On the other hand, both public places should not be demolished because
the educational role of museums and galleries cannot be replaced by
any media. As repositories for knowledge, expertise and research,

例(预测 5):Films and computer games containing violence are popular.
Some people say they have negative effects on society and should be banned.
Others say they are just harmless relaxation. Discuss both these views
and give your own opinion.
1. Watching films and playing computers have become prevalent means for
people to spend leisure time. In the face of this trend, numbers of
people think over the issue about whether both ways could bring
positive effects or not. My view is that both can make people get
relaxed and the government should take the responsibility to avoid the
harms they may cause.

例(预测 19):Report research suggests that majority of criminals who

of this case? What to be done to solve this problem?
1. It is a noticeable phenomenon that the number of the people who break
laws again after imprisonment is still on constant rise. And I believe
there are two reasons behind it.
2. In the first place, the lack of education during imprisonment is seen
as one main reason. ….
3. Another cause leading to this situation is related to the less
deterring effect of punishments. ..
4. So, how to deal with this issue? For one thing, the educational program
should be integrated into rehabilitation system. … For another, the
penalty on lawbreakers needs to be enforced. ….
5. To conclude, due to the threat to social stability, the problem of
