OCEAN GET BAD IMPACT FROM OUR ACTIVITY

Climate change is the serious problem. Base on english dictionary, climates mean the weather
conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period. While, Nasa defines Climate
change as; “a broad range of global phenomena created predominantly by burning fossil fues,
which add heat-trapping gases to earth’s atmosphere. These phenomena include the increased
temperature trends describe by global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea level in
flower/plant blooming; and extreme wheather events.” Form that data from nasa we can know,
how climate change could be occured because global warming.
Global warming is conditions increasing world avarage temperature. Carbon dioxide the reason
of global warming. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is gases that already found in Earth’s before human’s
live in Earth’s. Carbon dioxide gases give a bad impact to the Earth’s when the consentration in
Earth’s over of capacity.
There are two reasons of this condition. First, producing process of carbon dioxide is increase n
von Climate Change before pra-industry carbon dioxide concentration in Earth’s is 278 ppm, but
in 2005 the concentration of carbon dioxide increases until 379 ppm.the result of the changes are
avarage of world temperature increase amount 0.74⁰C. Concentration of carbon dioxide
predicted can increase until 550 ppm and avarage world temperature increase amount 3⁰C that
seen from trends world develoment.
So many negatif impact of climate change for our earth and every part our life. Ocean is one part
of our life that get a bad impact from climate change. Base on article by conservation
international in 2011, there is five impact of climate change on the ocean. First, Climate change
make a warmer ocean. This condition is occured cause the ocean has absorbed 80 percent of the
heat added to the Earth’s system by climate change. Second, melting the Poles. Rising
greenhouse gases caun ing increased atmospheric warming cause polar ice to melt. Third, Rising
sea levels. As sea water warms, it expands. Likewise, as glaciers and polar ice melt, sea levels
rise. Fourth, Changes to the ocean’s major current systems. Changes in ocean temperatures and
windpatterns—results of overall climate change—will affect and alter oceanic current. Fifth,
ocean acidification. The The same burning of fossil fuels that is increasing greenhouse gas levels
in the atmosphere, is also altering the chemical composition of seawater, making it more acidic.
