AEI-NOOSR ASSESSMENTS

Looking at applying for a job within SWSi but hold overseas qualifications?

You may need to get formal recognition of your qualifications before applying or provide a statement which shows the
Australian equivalency of your overseas qualifications.

Who are AEI-NOOSR?

Australian Education International – National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) is an
Australian Government Agency who provides assessments as to the educational level of an overseas qualification.

What do they provide?

• Information about the Australian higher education system to promote the recognition of Australian
qualifications in other countries
• Information and advice about overseas education systems to facilitate the recognition of overseas
qualifications in Australia
What do they assess?
• higher education, post-secondary technical and vocational, overseas qualifications for general purposes.
What don’t their assessments do?
• compare qualifications by subject or study area (e.g. an overseas Bachelor of Science may be compared to
an Australian Bachelor Degree, but not an Australian Bachelor of Science) or competency standards
• qualify you for admission into university or other education provider. You will need to apply directly to the
university or other education provider
• qualify you for membership of a professional body. You will need to contact the professional body.
• qualify you for migration to Australia.
What they don’t assess?
• trade qualifications (see www.innovation.gov.au/skills/skillsAssessment/TradesRecognitionAustralia)
• school qualifications
• Australian qualifications
• qualifications of less than 1 year full time
• single subjects
• incomplete qualifications
• work experience
• English language skills.
Assessment length:
• Assessments can take up to 3 months.
Fees for assessments:
The fee depends on the number of qualification you want assessed and your residency status.

5 or more $495.00 $650.00

Fees must be paid in full before AEI-NOOSR can assess your qualifications.
