some that modern masters of dim-mak have more
nformation than those who invented the art
yecause of modern scientific methods. Haw can
the modern masters have more information, when
the ancients actually killed people so that their
students would have the information on which
,»eints worked, which ones didn’t, the correct
lirections in which to strike, and how much
sressure to use, as well as which points work in
hhe best combinations? Western medicine, in large
»art, is only now discovering what the ancient
chinese have known for centuries.
Chang passed his deadly art down through his
amily members and favored students. One of
hese was Wang Toung-yeuh, who actually wrote it
di down and passed it on to his students. One of
hese was called Zhiang. Zhiang lived at the same
ime that Yang Lu-ch’‘an lived. From here on in, it
ees a little complicated; im fact, I think the
criptwriters of “Dynasty” must have known
bout the history of dim-mak!
Some may know Yang Lu-ch’an as the founder
# the most famous style of taiji, the Yang style.
‘ang’s history is quite amazing in itself. But, in a
uatshell the size of a small car, Yang decided he
iked what a family of Shaolin people called the
thens had to offer and inveigled his way into the
then village after many attempts. The story goes
hat Yang lay down in the snow outside the village
imtil the elders decided that he shauld be
dmitted. Yang is said to have learned the whole
ystem from peeping through a door hole! Silly,
uh? While Yang was at the Chen village, it is said
hat Zhiang also came through and was admitted
ecause of his advanced fighting skills. Because
thiang and Yang were both outsiders, Zhiang
aught Yang secretly until there was no more he
ould teach him.
The Chens took what they could and added it
