RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS

Do you know someone who is thinking about becoming a Catholic?

Have you drifted away from the Church but feel a pull to return?

Are you interested in what the Church teaches?

God may already be at work in your life, drawing you closer to Him and his
Church.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program to help non-Catholics and non-

practicing Catholics learn more about the Catholic faith. People of all religious
backgrounds have joined an RCIA program.

Come, have a look. There is never any obligation to join the Church if you’re not
ready. Our first session will take place on Sunday, August 19, at 10:45 a.m. in the
Ministry Center.

For more information about our RCIA program, contact Deacon Bill at 619-818-
0972.

ST. COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH SAN DIEGO

Welcome to St. Columba Catholic School

This school year, we will welcome over 40 new families to our elementary and pre-school. If
you are considering a Catholic school, please make an appointment for a tour. We have
openings in preschool and each grade in K-8. The 2018-2019 school year begins August
22nd, 2018.

St. Columba Catholic School, in union with parents and guardians as the primary educators
of our students, is a community of faith dedicated to academic excellence while bearing
witness to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. We seek to educate the whole child within
the tradition of the Catholic Church so students may confidently meet the challenge of
living a Christ-centered life in a changing world.

St. Columba Catholic School is dedicated to educating each student's heart, mind, and
soul. Through the passion and dedication of teachers and staff, students are challenged to
be critical thinkers and problem solvers who desire to use their God-given gifts and talents
to make the world a better place.

At St. Columba Catholic School, all are welcome. We are a diverse community that
believes in welcoming all of God's children. The partnerships between our students, staff,
parents, and parish are our cornerstones. Whether it is helping in the classroom, organizing
fundraisers, or chaperoning field trips, there are plenty of ways to be involved.

Please call the school office at 858-279-1882 or visit our website at stcolumbaschool.org if
you would like more information. We would be blessed to have your family join our
community!
*Notice of Non-Discriminatory Policy
St. Columba School, mindful of its mission to be witnesses to the love of Christ for all, admits students of
any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school. St. Columba does not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin in administration of educational policies,
scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Likewise, St. Columba School does not discriminate against any applicant for employment on the
basis of sex, age, handicap, race, color and national and/or ethnic origin. (California Catholic
Conference, March 1994, Revised Jan. 1997)
