1. Scope:

This method instruction is applicable for all projects where Piling works are specified in the
contract.

2. Responsibility:

Project Engineer / Site Engineer / Junior Engineer / Foreman

3. Description:

3.1. Submit piling design, shop drawings and method statement to Consultants and obtain approval.

3.2. Reduce the ground level in piling area to the piling platform level as per cut off level details.

3.3. Mark layout of all piles including preliminary piles as per approved shop drawings and obtain
Consultants approval.

3.4. Arrange for necessary water, power, reinforcement steel, concrete, working area and access for
piling works equipment.

3.5. Carry out piling works as per approved details and method statement preferably from the
location of preliminary pile.

3.6. Carry out temperature test, slum test, slump test and cube test for piling concrete and submit the
results to Consultants.

3.7. Carry out load tests and other specified tests on preliminary pile/s and working pile/s as soon as
these are completed and submit test results to Consultants.

3.8. Break and trim pile heads upto pile cut off level.

3.9. Carry out pile integrity tests on piles as per contract requirement and submit the results to
Consultants.
