Per your request below isa summary of our discussion First, important to note that per, 9,092, “no qualifying fe shall be returned tothe candidate unless the candidate withéraws his or hee canaidacy before the lst date to qualify” To that end, any individual wishing to withdraw for the fice of School Board District 8 on the ballot in 2016 was required to do so by state law no later than Friday, lune 24 2016 at noon to be eligible to have the qualifying fee returned. Since ou office didnot eeceve the Oath of Withdrawal by the deadline, and has not receivedone at this time, you sil apear as qualified. Yu also indicated that you already placed a stop payment on the check. Since the withdrawal was not receled by the state's deadline, the qualifying fee isl ssi owed to the County, and you may be responsible fr any subsequent fees incurred by the County in processing deficient check. At this time, our office has not yet reelved notification from out Finance Department that your check war deficient.
