Cabinet Frame
ZXUR 9000 UMTS cabinet frame is comprised of bottom frame, top frame, stand column,
regulator, side door.
Cabinet Top
Figure 2-2 shows the cabinet top structure.
Cabinet Door
The ZXUR 9000 UMTS cabinet is equipped with a front door and a rear door that can be
opened and closed, and two removable side doors.
The front door and the rear door have the same structure. They both have fine ventilation
holes, which ensure good heat dissipation.

Parameter Description
Service subrack Height 11 U (including shelves, fan unit, and power unit)
Backplane
The backplane is a kind of board which providing slots for the front board and the rear
board to interconnect with each other. Both the front and rear boards are installed on the
back plane. Boards in the same shelf are connected through the printed wire instead of
cables, which improves the reliability.
The rear board types and the supported boards are shown in the following table:

3.3.3 ECDM
ECDM Functions
ECDM records shelf configuration information (such as the shelf serial number ), system
capacity information (such as the number of slots, the power consumption of each slot,
and the topology structure), and other customized information.
ECDM Indicators
Table 3-7 describes the indicators of ECDM.
ECDM Jumpers
There are 8 jumpers on the ECDM.Table 3-8 describes the jumpers of ECDM.
Jumper 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
3-15
l 0 indicates that the jumper is on and 1 indicates that the jumper is removed. The
jumper positions are ordered from lower to higher. All jumpers are not inserted with
a jumper cap except for the jumpers 1, 2 and 3, it indicates that the shelf is the third
shelf of the 8th rack.
l Jumper position 7 is always not inserted with a jumper cap.
l Jumper position 8 (check position) is the odd check, which ensures that the jumper
caps on ECDM are odd number of caps. If the number of jumper caps on the ECDM
is an even number, the system will display that the jumper is incorrect.
Note:
One service subrack is configured with two ECDMs. You should make sure that the jumper
configurations at two sides are consistent, and the configured rack and shelf information
is the same.

Chapter 5 Cables
BITS reference clock cables are used to extract clock reference from BITS device to clock
board EGFS for lock. Table 5-29 describes the cable connection.

Table 5-30 describes the connection of H-MON-024 door access monitoring cable.

Note:
Besides being connected to the access control monitoring interface, the cable can also
be connected to dry contact alarm interfaces on fields. The dry contacts can be normally
open or normally closed, which is set through the back end. The dry contacts support a
maximum of six lines.

Note:
The back of the power distribution sub-rack provides DB15 connector to lead out signals.
The monitoring signals are led to the cabinet top through the monitoring cable H-MON-025.
Configure the sensor as needed when installing the rack.
For the monitoring signal cable H-MON-025, the end of power subrack connects the
SENSOR (DB15) interface on the PDU backplane. There are four DB9 interfaces at the
sensor end, which is used to connect different sensors.
If there is no need to configure sensor cables, the plugs at end B of the cables must be
covered with plastic protection sleeves.

Note:
If the voltage type DIP switch is set to 1010, it indicates that the voltage type is 60 V DC.
If the DIP switch is set to other values, the voltage type is 48 V DC.

Configuration of the 485 Jumper and Rack Configuration DIP Switch in the Case of
One Rack
2. PDUB configuration
The PDUB has two RS485 ports (RS485 (IN) and RS485 (OUT)). Select the RS485
(IN) or RS485 (OUT) port and connect the port to the EGBS RS485 interface with a
network cable.
6-3
Figure 6-4 Configurations of the 485 Jumpers and Rack Configuration DIP Switches
in the Case of Multiple Racks
2. PDUB configuration
The 485 cables on the PDUBs should be connected in the following way:
l For the two RS485 ports on the first rack, the RS485 (IN) on the left should be
connected to the RS485 port on the EGBS board and the RS485 (OUT) port
6-4
should be connected to the PDUB RS485 (IN) port on the second rack with a
cascade cable.
l The RS485 (OUT) port of the second rack should be connected to the PDUB
RS485 (IN) port on the third rack.
l The rest should be connected similarly.
