Summary of Educator Standards

Standard 1 - Instructional Planning and Delivery


 Teachers will provide standard-based, data-driven, differentiated instruction,
while utilizing technology and engaging students with relevant knowledge.

Standard 2 - Knowledge of Student and Student Learning


 Teachers will focus on each students' needs while accounting for their
educational and developmental backgrounds, to ensure high levels of learning,
social-emotional development, and achievement outcomes for all students.

Standard 3 - Content Knowledge and Expertise


 Teachers will demonstrate through the quality of the design and execution of
their lessons, a comprehensive understanding of their content, discipline, and
related pedagogy.

Standard 4 - Learning Environment


 Teachers will create and maintain a respectful, safe, and supportive learning
environment, with efficient and effective routines, clear expectations for student
behavior, and organization that maximizes student learning.

Standard 5 - Data-Driven Practice


 Teachers will assess student growth using formal and informal methods and
regularly review and analyze data to measure their progress and adjust
strategies and delivery when needed.

Standard 6 - Professional Practices and Responsibilities


 Teachers will maintain integrity and hold themselves to high ethical standards
when collaborating with other educational professionals, and will comply with all
campus and district policies while pursuing leadership opportunities.
