The action of SC can cause pain and result in changes in tissue continuity due to
surgery. The impact of pain on the mother, namely limited ADL, bonding
attachment and mobilization due to an increase in pain intensity when the mother
moves. The impact of pain on the baby is on breastfeeding, and the lack of baby

used one of them is by using aromatherapy. The purpose of the literature review is
to identify journals and present the latest information related to the effectiveness
of aromatherapy in reducing pain scale post sectio caesarea. The method used to
compile a review literature is done using electronic data bases such as Google
scholar, proques, Ebsco, SJAMSI with the keywords used, namely sectio caesarea,
aromatherapy, management pain, nonpharmacology therapy, preeclampsia,
lavender aromatherapy. The results of the review literature review in 8 journals
showed that there were differences in pain scales before and after being given
aromatherapy. Aromatherapy affects the limbic system which then stimulates the
thalamus to release enfecalin which acts as a natural pain reliever and produces
feelings of well-being.
The conclusion from this review literature that romotherapy is effective in
reducing pain scale at post sectio caesarea.
