1) Cable Gland 20B (2EA), 20C (2EA) for cable inlet.
2) Power Indicating Lamp The lamp illuminates when power switch is `on'.
(DC 12V LED)
3) Alarm Indicating Lamp The lamp illuminates when density of salinity is
over the setting value. (DC 12V LED)
4) Alarm Point By pushing the button, alarm set point is displayed.
8) Power Source Fuse Fuses for power source. (1A Slow Blow)
9) Alarm Relay Relay for salinity high alarm.
( Omron G2R-2-S, 12V DC )
10) External Voltage Signal Relay Relay with source voltage. When salinity high
alarm occurred, this relay is engaged.
( Omron G2R-2-S, 12V DC )
11) Self Test Switch Switching toggle switch to `test' position, enables
operator to ascertain 10 PPM of alarm setting
value. ( Set the self test switch to `Normal'
during normal operation )
12) Adjusting Knob for Self Test The self test switch position to `Test', turn
adjusting knob to the clockwise, the indicating
digit will increase.
At 10 PPM, alarm lamp and external volt signal
relay are operated.
13) Temp. Compensating Knob For use in compensating the variation of electirc
conductivity due to temperature of the distilled
water being measured. ( 5 C - 150 C)
* Normally set the `water temp. compensation knob' to actual water temperature.
14) Terminal Block Terminal for wire connection.
2) Wiring
In making wiring for the equipment, ensure the correct wiring by setting
terminal symbols as shown in the circuit diagram, as for the end of the
electric wire, correctly fasten it to the terminal stand using force fitting
terminal.
1) Cleaning of electrode
In order to maintain exact performance of the equipment, remove the sensor
at least once 6 months and clean it.
b. By use of soft cloths (waste cloth or the like), wipe the dust or scale
deposited on the surface of the electrode of the sensor.

Selecting installation position of Main Unit
(Display Unit) & Salinity Sensor
1. Main Unit (Display Unit)
1) Please avoid severely vibrating position(Paricularly, to avoid Tank, or near Tank
Wall, which transmitting easily water hammering vibration)
2) Steel Seat should be installed with strong one sustainable to the vibration.
3) Please selsect the position as possible as lower surrounding temperature.
4) To avoid the position any possible water splashing or dropping.
2. Salinity Sensor
1) Normal installation of Sensor ( in case of full water in pipe )

3) The phenomen of PPM Reading of Main unit gradually increasing is the case when
the sensor has been installed in collected water, which is corresponding to the case
water flow stoppage inside the pipe when the system shutdown.
When water flow stopped, conductivity increase due to either `rusting occurrence' or
`Ion Increase'. When conductivity increase, PPM increase.
(For your reference, The principle of the `Salinity Indicator Sensing Method' is the
one of Conductivity check of the water).
Accordingly, when there is no water flow due to system stoppage, the sensor should
be installed at the location either not to touch with collected water or removing the
collected water as below figure;
WATER WATER
SENSOR
SENSOR
(X) (O)
4) Do not installate a sensor on bottom side
Under the circumstances of system stoppage, or no
water flow inside the pipinig system, or nearly no water
existence in the system, there might be yet occurred
water
sensor
abnormal alarm (high ppm) due to ion increase, which
caused by collected water inside socket valve itself
(X) (water collection phenomenon from gravity).
