National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force,
engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The
National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high
schools, colleges and Universities all over India.

NCC is functioning with the motto of “Unity and Discipline”.

In our College, the NCC (army wing) was started with the cadet strength of 54 (in that 33%
allotted for Girls).

The NCC is open to all regular students (boys/girls) of College on a voluntary basis. If you opt
for NCC, It becomes compulsory and you have to undergo three years of training without fail.

Regular training is imparted to our cadets throughout the year such as foot drill, arm drill,
weapon training, map reading and obstacle training under the in-charge of 9 (TN) Bn NCC,
Karaikudi.

I would like to share few achievements made by our cadets in recent time:

It is planned to have our enrollment for this current academic year 2018-2019 on the last week of
this month and corresponding announcements will be made at your classes by our senior cadets.
Through this meeting, I am inviting all to participate in the selection processes.

Wishing you a pleasant stay and successful years ahead.

Thank you one and all present here.

Jai Hind
