TOPIC : Get Dressed

FOCUS SKILLS : : Writing


CONTENT STANDARD : Main: 4.3 .Communicate with appropriate language form and style for a range of purposes in print and
digital media
Complementary: 3.1 Recognise words in linear and non-linear texts by using knowledge of sounds of
letters
LEARNING STANDARD : Main: 4.3.2 Spell a narrow range of familiar high frequency words accurately in guided writing
Complementary: 3.1.1 Identify, recognise and name the letters of the alphabet
LEARNING OBJECTIVES : Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to write 5 sentences according to the
pictures correctly. eg: He is wearing a blue skirt.
Main (TM) : At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to write according to the pictures
correctly Complementary: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to read the sentences
and match with the correct names.

i. PRE-LESSON : PRE-LESSON TASK 2: GUESS THE ANSWER ( Play a chain game)

ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Teacher will show a picture of a boy and a girl.
2. Say one items each wearing. Example: He is wearing a blue t-shirt.
3. Teacher will write the example of sentences in the board.
4. Next, teacher will play the recording. Pupils will listen and write the names based on
the recording and the picture in Supermind book.
5. Next, teacher will show pictures of boy/girl with different types of clothes.
6. Then, pupils will write the sentences based on the pictures.
7. Teacher will guide pupils to write the sentences by giving the example and elicit
spelling of colour.
8. Lastly, pupils will play a simple guessing game.

7 out of 7 pupils were able to write 5 sentences according to the pictures correctly. Other 2
linus pupils were able to write according to the pictures correctly They were able to read the
sentences and match with the correct names.

CONTENT STANDARD : 3.2 By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able to write using appropriate
language form and style for a range of purposes.
LEARNING STANDARD : 3.2.1 Able to transfer information with guidance to complete: (b) non-linear texts
LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:
1. write a message of sympathy to friend that loss one of his family member with the
correct sentences and format.
