The support system for the motivation to nurse for continue the education will be
give a good enough effect for the nurse so that the nurse can be motivated to continue
the education of supporting resources in the form of leadership support dan family
support. The age can also affect a person’s motivation because by the increasing age
and maturity of thinking of one is self. Marital status can affect a person’s motivation
because due to consideration in continuing education. The sex in the implementation of
education, physical ability of male dan female is different. The purpose of this research
to the know the factors of the related with motivation D-III of Nursing to continue
education to S1 of Nursing.
The research type is descriptive correlation with cross sectional study design. The
study was conducted on 14th June – 13th July, 2017. The population of 74 peoples was
DIII nurse and the sample was 63 respondents, with technique of sampling using
simple random sampling technique. The statistic test used is chi-square test, with
interpretation of significance if ρ <α (0,05).
The research Result: There is no age correlation with motivation to continue
education, obtained value X² count <X² table (1.171 <3.841). Do not sex relationship
with motivation to continue education obtained value X² count <X² table (0.068 <3.841).
There is an association of marital status with motivation to continue education in
obtaining value X² count> X² table (7,607> 3,841). There is a relationship of leadership
with the motivation to continue education obtained value X² count> X² table (30,019>
3,841). No relation with family support with motivation to continue education obtained
value X² count <X² table (0,582 <3,841)
The Suggestions should the leadership provide a staff development program,
allowing nurses to develop skills and knowledge through formal training and education.
