Sumur Gali merupakan sarana penyedia air yang mudah mengalami pencemaran
yang berasal dari luar, terutama jika jarak dari sumber pencemaran seperti
kandang ternak tidak memenuhi syarat serta perilaku pengguna air yang tidak baik
akan mempengaruhi kualitas mikrobiologi air. Dug-wells is a water supplying facility
which is easily contaminated from outside especially if the construction of the well do not have a
qualification, the distance of the well from the pollution such as the corral with no qualification as
well as the behaviour of water users who are not good will affect the quality of the water
microbiological.
Desa Blang Dalam merupakan desa yang sebagian besar penduduknya
menggunakan sumur gali sebagai sumber air bersih dan dan mayoritas
penduduknya memelihara ternak di lingkungan rumah, sehingga memungkinkan
terjadinya pencemaran pada air sumur gali. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan
penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional study, dan jumlah
sampel sebanyak 32 sumur gali. Blang Dalam village is the one that most of its
villagers still use a dug-well as their clean water source and the majority of the
people to raise a cattle around the house, that it probably contaminates the water
of the dug-wells. This research was conducted by analytical descriptive with cross
sectional study design with total population were 32 sample of Dug-wells.
Metode pengambilan sampel berupa purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data
dilakukan dengan pemeriksaan bakteriologis air di laboratorium, pengukuran jarak
kandang dengan menggunakan meteran gulung dan kuesioner.The samples were
taken by purposive sampling and data collected with water bacteriological
examination in the laboratory, the distance of the corral was measured by a roll
gauge and questionnaire.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 32 sampel air yang diperiksa, 25 sumur
tercemar E.Coli yang melebihi baku mutu yang ditetapkan berdasarkan
Permenkes RI No.416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990 yaitu 50/100ml. The result of this
study showed that, from the 32 dug-wells examined, 25 dug-wells was
contaminated by E.Coli that exceed 50/100 ml, the standard set based on the
Regulation of Indonesia Minister of Health No.416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990
Hasil uji chi square menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara jarak
kandang ternak dan perilaku masyarakat dengan pencemaran E.coli, masing –
masing dengan nilai p = 0,001 dan 0,010. The result of chi-square test showed that
there was a meaningful relationship between the distance of corral and the value
was (p=0,001), (p<0,05). and dug-well user’s behaviour was p = 0,010 (p<0,05)
