The Residence Maldives is seeking qualified candidates to join our team for the following
position:
ENGINEERING
Electrician
Electrician performs maintenance work on a wide range of electrical equipment. Assemble and
install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency
calls. Conduct inspection tours to ensure that electrical equipment and lighting is working
properly. Complete the preventative maintenance schedule and incident reports. Maintain all
tools, equipment, and working areas to proper condition. 2 years’ experience required in a five
star organization.

Boat Mechanic
Boat Mechanic performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on our
speedboats and marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems.
Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program for boats and marine engines and
related marine research equipment. Tests marine engines and equipment to determine need for
repairs or adjustments. Repairs and maintains hydraulic equipment and valves. Operates hand
and power tools associated with boats, marine engine and equipment repair. Writes specifications
for and recommends purchase of marine equipment. Operate boats at various speeds on
waterways to conduct operational tests. Repair engine mechanical equipment, such as power
tilts, bilge pumps, or power take-offs. Perform routine engine maintenance on speedboats, such
as changing oil and filters. Replace parts, such as gears, magneto points, piston rings, or spark
plugs, and reassemble engines. Comprehensive ability to work from plans, specifications,
drawings and blueprints. Boat Handling and Maintenance capabilities preferred. 2 years’
experience required in a five star organization.
Storekeeper – Engineering Store
To ensure a smooth administration of the Engineering Department to the standard required by the
company. Coordinate all internal and external correspondence, incoming e-mail, and another
administrative duty for the Engineering department. Maintain complete and accurate records of
all engineering reports. Familiar with the hotel facilities crucial to the operation of the
Engineering Department. Perform opening and closing procedures established for the
Engineering Office. To ensure that an efficient and accurate filling system, both manual as well
as electronically is maintained at all times. To ensure that the engineering office and surrounding
area is kept clean and organized at all times. Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and
wastage. Perform duties outside the scope of the position, in case of emergency, when called
upon. To take minutes of meetings held in engineering department. 2 years of previous
experience required.
