LAB MANUAL

STEREO MICROSCOPIC
INTRODUCTION
 For three dimensional perspective (3D).
 For viewing relatively large and solid surfaces or specimens.
 For detailed work such as microsurgery, watch making and circuit
board inspection and manufacturing.

Focus adjustment knob The magnification can be limited in the


desired range by setting each stopper on
the microscope body (also used as the
magnification indices) and the stopper ring
on each zoom adjustment knob. The right
zoom adjustment knob is used to limit the
higher end of the magnification, and the
left knob is used to limit the lower end.
X and Y axis knob To move the specimen to a desired
position, rotate the X-axis knob and Y-axis
knob.

Stage Plate When reflected light illumination is
used, the stage plate can be placed
either the white or black surface

Mounting the TV Camera

1. Using the Allen wrench, loosen the C-mount clamping


screw 1 and remove the C-mount seat 2.
2. Screw the C-mount seat 2 into the TV camera 3.
3. Place the C-mount seat in the original position and tighten
the clamping screw 1.
4. Connect the cables and monitor to the TV camera.
Procedure To Capture Image Using Software
analySIS getIT- Step By Step

1.Double click on icon analySIS getIT


2.Click on icon (a) and the DigiAcquis TWAIN window would appear.

3. Click on icon (b) to capture the image.

4. Click on icon (c) to set the correct scale bar / magnification


for the image.
5. To burn the scale on the image, click on “Image”, then “Scale Bar” then
“Burn into Image”.

6. Click on icon (d) to save the image to the desired folder.

Note: It is compulsory to save the file as type Tagged Image Format “tif” for
the images which require measurement in the future.
measureIT – Step By Step
1. Close the analySIS getIT application.
2. Double click on icon measureIT.
3. Click on icon (e) to apply the scale bar. The scale bar will be accurate if
the image was saved as “tif” file.
4. Click on icon (f) to do measurement.
5. Click on icon (g) for some annotation on the image.
