Il Polo territoriale di Lecco del Politecnico di Milano avvia una nuova offerta
formativa nel segno di Pier Luigi Nervi.

Si è scelto il 2018, anno europeo del patrimonio culturale, per

avviare la Summer School sulla conoscenza, conservazione, restauro e
valorizzazione del patrimonio tangibile del ‘900, che segna l’inizio delle
attività del Laboratorio Nervi.

Ispirato al lavoro del grande progettista e costruttore italiano Pier Luigi

Nervi (Sondrio, 21 giugno 1891 - Roma, 9 gennaio 1979), il Laboratorio Nervi
nasce da un accordo di cooperazione tra il Politecnico di Milano, Polo
territoriale di Lecco, e l’Associazione Pier Luigi Nervi Project, che
da 10 anni è impegnata nella divulgazione della conoscenza e della ricerca
sull’opera dell’ingegnere, architetto e costruttore italiano.

Grazie ad un apporto scientifico interdisciplinare e internazionale il

Laboratorio Nervi si avvia quindi a diventare centro di studi e analisi sui grandi
temi della conoscenza e conservazione, restauro e valorizzazione
dell'architettura del XX secolo.

In questo contesto, la Summer School vuole essere un esempio

significativo di coinvolgimento e di presa di coscienza di valori culturali non
limitati alla ristretta cerchia degli addetti ai lavori, ma estesa all’intera
collettività, quale espressione di un ricco passato, in funzione di un proficuo
futuro.
