Performance Task: Infographic-Making


Learning Competency: Demonstrate the practical applications of Social Science disciplines through
contemporary media

G To demonstrate the timely and real-world application of the discipline of Psychology


(Goal) through the use of visual media

You are students from the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand. It is your
obligation to disseminate information on the Social Science disciplines, especially where
these have practical uses in real life. In this case, you are formed into groups assisting the
R Guidance Office of Corpus Christi School for its mental health awareness campaign.
(Role)
The roles in each group are as follows:
1. Researchers — provides the data and other content for the infographics
2. Artists — designs the visuals of the infographics

A The infographics shall be for the consumption of senior high school students like those in
(Audience) Corpus Christi School, especially those outside the HUMSS strand.

Mental health illnesses compose a reality plaguing an alarming number of Filipinos today,
especially the youth. Corpus Christi School, through its Guidance Office, is planning a
series of activities on mental health awareness for the month of August. The Philippines’
S Department of Health has also declared the second week of September as National Suicide
(Situation) Prevention Week.

Your task is to produce materials that are in line with and may be supplementary to these
awareness/prevention endeavors.

In groups of 10 members each, create infographics on the following topics on mental


health in the Philippines:
— Mental Health Bill of 2017
P — Suicide and depression among adolescents

The infographics may be printed on tarpaulin or on paper. After these have been graded
by the teacher, reproduce enough copies for posting in classrooms in the senior high
school level.
