Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research

(SAMEER) is a Research & Development Institute under the Administrative
control of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications
& Information Technology, Government of India. Its main objective is to
promote the growth of Science and Technology of RF/Microwave Electronics,
Medical Electronics, Electromagnetics, Opto-Electronics, Millimeterwave
Technology and its allied areas. SAMEER has its headquarters at Mumbai
and centers at Chennai and Kolkata.
As a part of e-governance activity “Integrated ERP solution”, SAMEER is
planning introduction of Integrated ERP solution for its centers at Mumbai,
Chennai & Kolkata. For the ERP cell, SAMEER is looking for candidates for
the following posts on regular basis.

1. Scientist 'C: Head, ERP (ONE-REGULAR)

(In charge of ERP for all the centers of SAMEER
JOB PROFILE
In charge of complete ERP operation on day-to-day basis, data security,
modifications, amendments, back up, implementation of policy decision
matters etc. with the approval of the competent authority.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
MCA / BE (IT) from a recognised University or equivalent with 1st Class (60%
and above). Three years experience after acquiring the required
qualifications in relevant field.
REMUNERATION

Scale of pay of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade pay Rs.6600 with other

allowances as applicable to regular employees of SAMEER.

LOCATION

The Selected candidate will be posted at Mumbai but liable to be

transferred to any centers of SAMEER
2. Scientific Officer (SB):(Posts-3 (Regular)
System Administrator
(In charge of ERP for each centers of SAMEER)

JOB PROFILE

Handling day-to-day ERP operation, data security, modifications,

amendments, back up, implementation of policy decision matters etc. with
the approval of the HEAD, ERP. Reporting to HEAD ERP.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Application / IT or equivalent from

a recognised University or equivalent with 1 Class (60% and above) Five
years experience after acquiring required qualification in relevant field with
following skills:

¡Understanding of web based ERP applications particularly its

design and security model.
¡Knowledge of operating systems like Window/Linux.
¡Familiarity with applications developed using VB, ASP,C+++/C
and scripting languages.
¡Ability to document business process and translate these
processes into new functionality within the ERP.
¡Familiarity with standard protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP)
¡Exposure to ADO, DAO, ODBC and IIS.
¡Exposure to SQL Server, NET and database programming
models,
¡Experience in handling/troubleshooting LAN with at least 100
nodes.
¡Understanding of security concepts and strategies.
¡Knowledge in functional level software testing.
¡Proficiency in web development (HTML/DHTML and Front Page)
and Microsoft tools.

REMUNERATION

Scale of pay of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade pay Rs.4600 plus other

allowances as applicable to regular employees of SAMEER.

LOCATION

The Selected candidate will be posted one each in Mumbai, Chennai &
Kolkata but liable to be transferred to any centers of SAMEER.
SAMEER is also looking for candidates for the following
posts purely on temporary (contract) in nature on a
consolidated salary and co-terminus with the project:

3.Research Scientist: No. Of posts - 5(Five)

JOB PROFILE

Selected candidate will have to work on on-going Linac project. He also

has to participate in installation of system at site.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

M.Sc (Physics) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent with 1st class from
a recognized University. Candidates with relevant experience in the above
mentioned areas will be given preference.
REMUNERATION

Consolidated salary of Rs.20250/- per month on contract basis for a period of

three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

LOCATION
The selected candidates will be posted at Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and at Dept.
Of Physics, University of Pune depending on the requirement.

4.Research Scientist: No. Of posts - 2 (two)

JOB PROFILE

The selected candidates has to carry out design of shielding for Linac
system as per AERB norms. He/She will also be responsible for
characterization of linac system at SAMEER and at site.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

M.Sc. (Physics) and Diploma in Radiological Physics( D.Rp.) with

minimum 60% marks from a recognized University. Candidates with
relevant experience in the above mentioned areas will be given preference.
REMUNERATION
Consolidated salary of Rs.20250/- per month on contract basis for a period of
three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

LOCATION
The selected candidates will be posted at Mumbai/Navi Mumbai depending on

JOB PROFILE

The selected candidate will work on high power modulator and control
system for Linac. He/She has to take part in installation and commissioning
of the system at site.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

M.Sc. (Electronics) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent with 1st class
from a recognized University. Candidates with relevant experience in the
above mentioned areas will be given preference.

Consolidated salary of Rs.20250/- per month on contract basis for a period of

three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be

6. Research Scientist : No. Of posts : 2 (two)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications with 60% and

above. Candidates with experience will be given preference.

Consolidated salary of Rs.20250/- per month on contract basis for a period of

three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

7. Project Assistant : No of Posts -2(two)

B.Sc (Pysics) with first class from a recognized university

8. Project Assistant : No of Posts -4(Four)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Diploma in Electronics or Diploma in Electronics and Radio Engineering

(DERE) with 1st class (60% and above) from a recognised Institute.
Candidates with relevant experience preference.

REMUNERATION

Consolidated salary of Rs.10470/- per month on contract basis for a period of

three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

9. Project Technician : No. Of Posts-2 (two)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

ITI (Electronics) or equivalent. Candidates with relevant experience in the

above mentioned areas will be given preference.
REMUNERATION

Consolidated salary of Rs.7230/- per month on contract basis for a period of

three years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

LOCATION
The selected candidates will be posted at Mumbai/Navi Mumbai
10. Project Assistant: No. Of posts - 2 (two)

JOB PROFILE

The selected candidate will be posted at Jagdalpur in Chattisgarh state. He

will be initially trained at SAMEER, Mumbai for a period of three months.
He has to carry out service and maintenance of Linac system located near
Jagadalpur.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Diploma in electronics or Diploma in Electronics and Radio Engineering

(DERE) or Diploma in Instrumentation engineering from a recognised
Institute. Candidates with relevant experience in the above mentioned
areas will be given preference.
REMUNERATION

Consolidated salary of Rs.10470/- per month on contract basis for a period of

Five years and co-terminus with the project. No other allowance will be
eligible.

LOCATION

The selected candidates will be posted at Jagadalpur, Chattisgarh state

General conditions
AThe posts at sr. No.1 & 2 i.e Scientist 'C' and SO-SB carry basic pay plus
other allowances as per Govt. Rules.
ACandidates have to appear for a written objective type test, if any.
ANOC from employer is required, if employed in state/Central Govt./
Autonomous Institutions/PSUs etc.
ANo TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing for the written
test/interview.
ACanvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence of political or
otherwise will be treated as disqualification for the post.
AOnly those candidates who, in the opinion of the Institute, suit the
institutional requirements will be called for test/interview. Mere fulfilling the
minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any right in a
candidate for being called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to
reject any application or all the applications or fix the salary commensurate
with the experience and qualifications without assigning any reasons
ANo interim queries will be entertained.
AAge limit for posts at sr.no. 1 & 2 will be 45 years. Relaxable for deserving
candidates. For other posts the age limit will be 30 years.
AFor post at srl no. 1 & 2 Reservations, Relaxation of age limit and other
concessions for the SC/ST / other category persons will be in accordance
with the order of the Govt. of India.
