One of the plants that can be used as traditional medicine gout is melinjo
leaves (Gnetum gnemon L.). Melinjo leaves contain flavonoids that are thought to
be effective as antihyperuricemia. This study aims to determine the effect of
ethaol extract of melinjo leaves against uric acid levels in male white mice
hyperuricemia. This study concisted of six treatment groups, namely normal
control group, negative control group, positive control group (allopurinol 13
mg/kgBW) dose group 13 mg/kgBW, group dose 26 mg/kgBB body weight and
the dose group of 52 mg/kgBW. Induction was performed with 0.6 mL/20gBW of
fresh HPDF bovine liver. Measurement of uric acied levels is done on days 0, 15,
22 and 29 using a digital tool EasyTouch® GCU. The results showed that ethanol
extracts of leaves of melinjo (Gnetum gnemon L.) dose 13 mg/kgBB, 26 mg/kgBB
and 52 mg/kgBB may decreased uric acid levels in male white mice significantly
(P<0.01). Based on statistical data, the dosage of ethanol extract of 13 mg/kgBW,
26 mg/kgBW and 52 mg/kgBW has the same effect as allopurinol dose of 13
mg/BW weight in reducing uric acid levels.

Salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional asam
urat adalah daun melinjpo (Gnetum gnemon L.). daun melinjo mengandung
flavonoid yang diduga dapat berkhasiat sebagai antihiperurisemia. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol dari daun melinjo
terhadap kadar asam urat darah mencit putih jantan hiperurisemia. Penelitian ini
terdri dari enam kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, kelompok
kontrol negatif, kelompok control positif (alopurinol 13 mg/kgBB), kelompok
dosis 13 mg/kgBB, kelompok dosis 26 mg/kgBB dan kelompok dosis 52
mg/kgBB. Induksi dilakukan dengan menggunakan MDPT hati sapi segar 0,6
mL/20gBB. Pengukuran kadar asam urat dilakukan pada hari ke-0, 15, 22 dan 29
menggunakan alat digital EasyTouch® GCU. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
ekstrak etanol daun melinjo (Gnetum gnemon L.) dosis 13 mg/kgBB, 26 mg/kgBB
dan 52 mg/kgBB dapat menurunkan kadar asam urat darah pada mencit putih
jantan secara signifikan (P<0,01). Berdasarkan data statistik dosis ekstrak etanol
13 mg/kgBB, 26 mg/kgBB dan 52 mg/kgBB mempunyai efek yang sama dengan
alopurinol dosis 13 mg/kgBB dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat.
