FOREWORD

Introversion is the state of being predominantly interested in one's own

mental self. Introverts are typically perceived as more reserved or
reflective. Some popular psychologists have characterized introverts as
people whose energy tends to expand through reflection and dwindle
during interaction.
Introverts often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading,
writing, using computers, hiking and fishing. The artist, writer, sculptor,
engineer, composer and inventor are all highly introverted. An introvert is
likely to enjoy time spent alone and find less reward in time spent with
large groups of people, though they may enjoy interactions with close
friends. Trust is usually an issue of significance: a virtue of utmost
importance to introverts is choosing a worthy companion. Introverts are
easily overwhelmed by too much stimulation from social gatherings and
engagement, introversion having even been defined by some in terms of
a preference for a quiet, more minimally stimulating external
environment.

WHAT: (the essence of the title)

Not much discussion is needed to explain what the topic is about. The
three words (the introvert problem) speak for themselves :
conundrums of a “shy and reticent person” i.e an introvert person(though
the definition mentioned here is very wrong). The topic mainly osicillates
around introverts, their relation with the extroverts, the problems they
face and certain things they wish other people could understand.
WHY : (a peek into the modalties of selecting this topic)

“Introverts are collectors of thoughts,

And solitude is where the collection
Is curated and rearranged to make
Sense of the present and future.”
-LAURIE HELGOE.
Being an introvert myself I am fairly well versed with various problems
that we introverts face. We come across as being depressed or sad,
quiet, loner, awkward, anti-social and myriad other entities.
The title aptly describes the question in hand and the fair draft will deal
with the problems introvert people face. The project will try to break the
various stereotypes that are associated with people like me. It will also
aim at untwining the mind pieces of individuals like us and present that
we are not what the world perceives us to be, thus this project will be an
attempt towards breaking this common notion.

HOW: ( means which will be adopted for bringing about

justification to the topic at hand)

The research methodology used will be qualititative type where a set of

questionnaires will be prepared and an interview will be taken from
different people( all being introvert though) and a sample interview will
be presented in the final draft which will be an amalgamation of all the
interviews taken thus.
