1. Drug-induced or “medical” abortion has a higher failure rate than surgical abortion. Children born
after a failed abortion may have limb or digit abnormalities and other congenital problems, though a
number of infants with no defects are born or some suffered cerebral palsy as an abortion survivor. This
are some reasons why abortion must not be performed even our child are diagnosed genetically
impaired, this child has the right to live, and they are gifts from God so we must respect their right to live
and love them.

3. Health care professionals have the right to refused in assisting abortion. When called on to assist in an
abortion, nurses and other health care workers should bear witness to the truth about abortion by
objecting and taking advantage of laws and regulations that protect them against sanctions for refusing
to be involved. according to John Paul II, listing those who share responsibility for abortion, says:
“Doctors and nurses are also responsible, when they place at the service of death skills which were
acquired for promoting life” (italics added).257 And speaking of the responsibilities of health care
personnel, including nurses, he says: “Absolute respect for every innocent human life also requires the
exercise of conscientious objection in relation to procured abortion and euthanasia.”258 Moreover,
having pointed out that one may not conform to laws allowing abortion, the Pontifical Council for the
Pastoral Assistance of Health Care Workers says: “As a result, doctors and nurses are obliged to be
conscientious objectors. The great, fundamental value of life makes this obligation a grave moral duty for
medical personnel who are encouraged by the law to carry out abortions or to cooperate proximately in
direct abortion.”

5. To develop good working relationships with colleagues and patients, and to avoid conflict, it is
essential to share a common purpose. This may relate to a single project goal or it may be the overall aim
of a health care team. Communicating with colleagues and patients is the only way of identifying and
agreeing a common sense of purpose. Explain to them all the procedures you will be performing in order
to gain their trust. Let them participate in every procedure or treatment you will perform and help them
understand why are you performing such procedure.

6. Euthanasia is an ethical argument. Some religious argument about euthanasia is that human beings
are the sacred creation of God, so human life is, by extension, sacred. This is known as the "sanctity of
life”. Only God should choose when a human life ends, so committing an act of euthanasia or assisting in
suicide is acting against the will of God and is sinful. Some non-religious people may also have similar
beliefs based on the view that permitting euthanasia and assisted suicide "devalues" life.
The medical ethics argument, which is similar to the "slippery slope" argument, states that legalizing
euthanasia would violate one of the most important medical ethics, which, in the words of the
International Code of Medical Ethics, is: "A physician shall always bear in mind the obligation to respect
human life".

‘The slippery slope argument is based on the idea that once a healthcare service, and by extension the
government, starts killing its own citizens, a line is crossed that should never have been crossed, and a
dangerous precedent has been set. The concern is that a society that allows voluntary euthanasia will
gradually change its attitudes to include non-voluntary and then involuntary euthanasia. Legalized
voluntary euthanasia could eventually lead to a wide range of unforeseen consequences, such as the
following:

˃ Very ill people who need constant care, or people with severe disabilities, may feel pressured to
request euthanasia so that they are not a burden to their family.

˃ Legalizing euthanasia may discourage research into palliative treatments, and possibly prevent cures
for people with terminal illnesses being found.

˃ Occasionally, doctors may be mistaken about a person’s diagnosis and outlook, and the person may
choose euthanasia after being wrongly told that they have a terminal condition.

8. Female circumcision usually involves the cutting or removal of the clitoris. This area of the genitals is
Very sensitive because it contains the most nerve endings. In the Middle East; female circumcision is
practiced in the Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan and Syria. Even in the United States, 10,000 girls are
believed to be at risk from illegal operations within their own communities. It has also been reported

have also undergone similar operations.

Genital cutting is widespread within some African cultures and ethnic groups. It is seen as the climax of
initiation, something that both boys and girls have to take part in before they are accepted as adults in
the community. Young people leave home to be trained in the ways of adult life. For girls this means
learning practical skills before returning to their homes as women. According to supporters, the process
of female genital cutting has practical merits in a physically harsh society. It is proof that the woman is
mentally strong and able to deal with the difficult responsibilities of adult life. It also has religious and
social significance. The shedding of blood is seen symbolically as a stream connecting the woman to the
rest of her close-knit community. In a small community oneness is very important. The ritual is also seen
as an essential preparation for marriage. After the initiation rituals women begin looking for a husband
and hope to start a family.
