SCHOOL OUTING: Birch Class

Dear Parents/Guardians,

In November, our theme for class content will be ‘Food’ – as part of this, the Birch Class is going to a special
workshop in Milano restaurant, Blanchardstown. Here, the class will learn about the history of pizza and
Milano restaurants. Afterwards, they will each make their own margarita pizza which will be individually
packed in take-away boxes for the children to bring back to school for a pizza picnic.

Date: Wednesday 7th November 2018

Time: Workshop will during normal school day: 8.30am – 2.10pm (*NB: Prompt departure at 8.40 following
roll call and bathroom break. Please ensure your child is in school on time).
What to bring: Comfortable clothing suitable for cooking! We will be bringing the pizzas back to school for
lunch so a big packed lunch is optional – some small snacks like fruit/vegetables/yogurt may suffice.

Please complete the permission slip below and return to class teacher if you wish for your child to attend
the school trip. Permission is required in advance of the class trip in order for your child to participate in
this outing.
