On 2 August 2015, at United Nations Headquarters, New York, 193 UN member states

adopted a document entitled Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development. Then on September 25, 2015 in New York, USA, the United Nations General
Assembly has officially endorsed the Agenda for Sustainable Development or SDGs as a global
development agreement. At least 193 heads of state attended, including Vice President Jusuf
Kalla, also authorized the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda for Indonesia. SDGs is a new
development agreement to replace MDGs. The period of 2015-2030. SDGs contain a 35-page
document containing 17 goals and 169 development goals.
Starting 2016, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2015-2030 in Indonesia
formally replaced the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 2000-2015. Indonesia's efforts to
implement the SDG's agenda build on the experience of implementing the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) agenda. SDGs are a continuation of the MDGs targets in terms of
how human development is realized. Indonesia began to adopt 169 indicators of SDGs into the
National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM) 2020-2024. This is indicated by the issuance
of Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017 on the Implementation of Sustainable Development
Objectives on July 4 Whereas previously the SDGs agenda has been integrated in the National
Medium-Term Plan (RPJMN) 2015-2019 and has reached 94 out of 169 indicator targets set.
Examples of SGDs are Healthy Jakarta Cards in DKI Jakarta in 2013. This program
provides health care coverage for every poor and needy resident in Jakarta and has no health
insurance. As of January 2015, a total of 92 hospitals have served the KJS. The program was
subsequently adopted to the national level as a Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) by President
Jokowi (provincial to national scale)
