Health Insurance
• All full-time degree-seeking CCA students must have health insurance coverage.

• The college has secured a group health policy that can provide coverage for 12 months each year.
CCA’s Student Health Insurance Plan is a PPO Prudent Buyer Plan underwritten by Anthem Blue
Cross Life and Health Insurance Company.

• All full-time CCA students who are registered and attending classes are automatically enrolled in and
insured by the plan unless they waive their coverage.

• An insurance fee is charged for each term at registration. The fall fee is $573 and provides coverage
from September 1, 2008, through January 12, 2009. The spring fee is $944 and provides coverage from
January 12, 2009, through September 1, 2009.

• The insurance plan does not include dental, vision, or travel medical insurance.

• Part-time students (less than 12 units; less than 9 units for Visual and Critical Studies students) are not
eligible for this plan but may elect to enroll in insurance coverage available through other individual
providers.

For more information, please visit www.cca.edu/students/health or contact the Student Affairs Office.
