Silane XLPE-specific cross-linking agent

Trademark: NQ-177
Feature: This product is a mixture. The main composition is silane, and also contains graft initiator, dehydration
catalysts, antioxidants and lubricants. The appearance is light yellow transparent liquid, it has ester taste.
Slowly hydrolysis to corresponding silanol when put in air with water vapor.
Note: Keep temperature under 100℃ no matter in stock or transporting.

Application:

1. Used for polyethylene cross-linked manufacturing wire and cable insulation and sheath materials.
This product is an important cross-linker for XLPE, compared with common peroxide cross linking, radiation
cross linking; it has many advantages such as it needs more simple equipment, lower investment, is easy to
control, has a wide range of application of polyethylene density, is suitable for the production of special shape of
the fan-shaped cores, and has high extrusion speed.
Due to its excellent electrical performance, good heat and stress cracking resistance, silane cross linked
polyethylene has been widely used in the manufacture of wire and cable insulation and sheathing materials.

2. Crosslink polyethylene to manufacture heat resistance pipes, hoses and films.

Cross-linked polyethylene has excellent performance in aromatic hydrocarbon resistance, oil resistance, stress
cracking resistance, high mechanical strength, and good heat resistance. It can be used for 50 years at a
temperature of 800℃. Can be used in long-distance oil pipeline, natural gas, gas pipeline anti-corrosion
insulation outer protective layer and ancillary anticorrosion and heat preservation of heat-shrinkable mending
material.
Can be used in residential plumbing and hot water pipes.
This product can also be used for ethylene - vinyl acetate copolymer, chlorinated polyethylene, and ethylene -
ethyl acryl ate copolymer of cross-linking agent.

Application method:

For this product contains various additives except silane required by PE cross linking, you can omit the
production process of the cable material and produce cables directly, it saves your costs and very easy to use
(one step).

Method 1.
Add dried PE materials to single screw extruder hopper continuously by metering pump. Set the extruder
temperatures to 160,180,200,220 C (or 180,190,210,220 C) respectively.
Start the extruder and at the same time start the cross linking agent metering pump.
Cross linker is injected at the silo exit and mix with PE material before get into the extruder. The dosage is
100:1.3-2.0 (PE: cross linker).
PE and cross linking take out grafted reaction in the extruder.
When produce cables, composite with metal wire at the exit of the extruder, and coil after cooling.Then make
dehydration cross linking reaction by hot cook.
When produce pipes, Pull out different specifications of pipes through different mold at the exit of the extruder.
Then make dehydration cross linking reaction by hot cook.

Method 2.
After measurement, added dried PE materials to the silo of the high-speed mixer taking the high-speed mixer
method.
Start the mixer (low speed), add the cross linking agent in proportion slowly. Mix and stir for 5-10 minutes
(time depends on the number of material within the silo).Add the well mixed material to the silo of the
single-screw extruder machine continuously or intermittently.
Temperature settings of the extruder and operation progress is the same is method 1.

Note: Please keep the room dry and ventilated when taking method 2, and the mixed materials are not suitable
for storage.

Package and storage:

Packed in custom plastic drum. 10kg/drum, 2drums/box.
Coating metal pail net weight 200 kg.
Sealed and stored in cool, dry, ventilate rooms and protected from light.
