EXAMINATION OF ESCHERICHI COLI BACTERIA ON READY ORGANIZED


ORANGE IN AKEHUDA KELURAHAN DINING HOUSE TERNATE CITY

Food and drink are very important for human life. Food and beverage processing
must be processed properly and correctly. If food and drinks are not treated properly
and properly, they will be easily contaminated, one of which is Escherichia coli
bacteria. The purpose of this study is to find out the presence of E. coli bacteria on
ready-to-eat orange ice at the restaurant of Akehuda Village. The design of this study
is descriptive with laboratory tests. The population and sample in this study were
orange ice from 4 restaurants. The results in this study all orange ice samples showed
that all positive contaminated with E.coli bacteria with the number of germs in
sample 1 there were 348 E. coli bacteria, sample 2 was 348 E. coli bacteria and in
sample 3 with number of bacteria 122, then sample 4 the total number of bacteria is
918. For health services are expected to pay more attention to and carry out
inspection of food and beverage sanitation in restaurants, especially in restaurants in
the village of Akehuda, for people to be more careful in choosing safe and healthy
drinks for consumption, and for further research , it is hoped that there will be further
research examining the possibility of E. coli bacteria in ice orange drinks in the city
of ternate in other villages
