MISS NORMI 2018

CONCEPT: PHILIPPINE FESTIVAL


Production Number: Dagkot Festival (Cabadbaran City Festival)
Swimsuit: Maskara Festval (Bacolod Festival)
Gown: Panagbenga Festival (Baguio Festival)

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. The eight (8) department of this school shall be represented by two (2) qualified
candidates.
2. The candidate must have the following qualification:
a. Currently enrolled in this semester duly certified by the registrar;
b. Single, never been married not given birth, and possess good moral
reputation;
c. must be between 15-24 years old which shall be proven thru birth
certificate;
d. proficient in English; and
e. has a minimum height of 5’3”.
3. The candidate shall at least one (1) chaperon and one (1) coach.
4. The committee assigned the official makeup artists and official gown designers that
are allowed to stay at the back stage. Identification card will be given out to them and
should be worn at all times during the competition. Only the official photographer
chosen by the committee is allowed to take picture in a designated area.
5. The candidates must be at the venue 2 hours before the start of the competition.
Failure to comply these rules means a point five (.5) deductions of the total score of
the preliminary round.
6. The candidates and coaches must attend the orientation, meetings conducted by the
committee.

SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. The candidate must be a bona fide student of NORMI.
2. Festival costumes, school uniform, two-piece swimsuit for preliminary competition,
play suit for the coronation night, evening gown design by the official designer
assigned by the committee are official attire to be worn during the competition.
3. The duration of the talent performance must be kept to a maximum 3 minutes. Props
are allowed during the talent rendition, but there should be a maximum of 3 backups
only. The music of the candidates must be submitted two days earlier before
performances for the sequence tracking of music to avoid technical error that can cause
the delay of the competition. The candidates are given a one (1) minute set up including
the entrance and exit
4. All candidates must submit the following:
a. Duly accomplished application form and information sheet in duplicate
copies.
b. Certificate of enrollment; and
c. Photocopy of the birth certificate for official conformity
5. Candidates must attend the given schedule of activities promptly. If the candidates
failed to follow the given schedules without permission to the committee, and late for
15 minutes during rehearsals, the candidates automatically deducted .1 point of the total
preliminary competition result. The committee will inform the coaches together with
the candidates (5) hours before the coronation night with concerns to the total number
of point deductions.
6. For the Question and answer portion. The ability to answer the question will be based
on depth, meaning and substance of the answer given by the candidates. The candidates,
may respond the question either in English or Filipino. The question and answer portion
will be given forty percent (40 %) of the TOTAL SCORE in preliminary round and
fifty percent (50%) on the final round of the competition.
7. The decision of the board of Judges is final.

CRITERIA AND MECHANICS FOR JUDGING:

A. Selection of Miss NORMI RUNNER-UPS.


In choosing MISS NORMI 2018, the following criteria must be used:

To standardize the idiosyncratic tastes of the individual judges, ranks shall be


assigned corresponding to total raw score given to the candidates. In case of a tie,
determination of the winner shall be left to the discretion of the judges.

Note: the time-keeper has to inform the judges in case a candidate violates the time
allotment for each presentation. A lapse of a fraction of a minute is considered a
two (2) point deduction. Remember that the deduction of two (2) points per minute
extension should be strictly implemented. Should the Best in Talent winner be
disqualified, the candidate next in rank shall get the award.

After the preliminary result, the criteria in choosing the Miss NORMI 2018 will go back to
zero. The candidate will be judge according to the following:
