The 2012 National Nursing Core Competency Standards (2012 NNCCS) will serve as a guide for the

development of the following:

• Basic Nursing Education Program in the Philippines through the Commission on Higher Education
(CHED). 1

• Competency-based Test Framework as the basis for the development of course syllabi and test
questions for “entry level” nursing practice in the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination. • Standards of
Professional Nursing Practice in various settings in the Philippines. • National Career Progression
Program (NCPP) for nursing practice in the Philippines. • Any or related evaluation tools in various
practice settings in the Philippines

It is good that their is NNCCS because it serves us our guide in caring for a client. I agree that health care
member should establishes callaborative relationship to our colleagues and other members of the team
to enchance nursing and other members of the team to enhance nursing and other health care services.
One responsibility of nurse is to utilizes the nursing process in the interdisciplinary care of clients that
empowers the clients and promotes safe quality care, I agree to this because we are doing are best in
caring for our patient like: providing the needs of our client and providing safety. sometimes I observe in
the hospital that we cant avoid sterility to our patient and I also observe that in some hospital their is no
quality of care because some nurses or doctors, their priority is the private patients or their relatives
before others. "Implements strategies/policies related to Informed consent as it applies in multiple
contexts" I agree to this because in the hospital doctor explain the procedure first and the nurse
informed consent to the patient or the relatives before doing the procedure. " Ensures a working
relationship with the client and/or support system based on trust respect and shared decision making1" I
agree to this because in the philippines most of the health care team support the patients and respect
them but some dont know how to respect the patients. "Safe preparation and administration of the
medication" I agree to this because I observe that nurses and nurse learners wash their hands before
preparing medications and check the medication three times before administering. " Implements safe,
adequate, evidence- based care of clients during the pre-, intra-, and postdiagnostic and treatment
procedures". In this nurses are doing their responsibility like giving medication and monitoring the
patient.

In order to attain our goal in caring for our client all health care team member should implements the
developed action plan by the hospital.
