SVC Guide Know-how # 1 (Symptom: Water Leakage, clogged drain)

How to fix Water leakage, clogged drain [SSEC NW2-FDR]

Cause Leakage due to too much defrost water in the drain plate
Cause Leakage due to condensation water on the Cover Evap flows outside drain plate
Cause Leakage due to defrost sensor, fuse and heater defect

Error effect Water flowing into the bottom of the fridge room

1. Cause of too much defrost water in the drain plate

.Using product clogged drain hose from foreign particles
.Heater is too far to the drain hose hole, it can’t evaporate the defrost water in time

STEP01 :

① Unclog the drain hose

② Change the new Heater and Clip together Assy parts code DA97-19501A

※ Remark: Pls refer to SVC methods of heater replacement as attached

How to fix Water leakage, clogged drain [SSEC NW2-FDR]

Error effect Leakage due to door gasket seal, defrost sensor, fuse and heater defect

2.Check defrost parts related

. Check the sensor position, it will affect the defrost temperature .
. Check the if drain hose and cap drain is the new pattern
. Check the fuse and Heater resistance value

STEP02 :

① Make sure the sensor located on the right of the pipe

② Replace the drain hose and cap drain with the new one [ SVC kits DA82-01415A]
Paste 3 tapes on the back of drain plate

② Check the status of heater(brown wires on the left and right side)
and defrost sensor(two yellow wires) . If it's not working, replace it.

How to fix Water leakage, clogged drain [SSEC NW2-FDR]

Error effect Water flowing into the bottom of the fridge room
3. Leakage due to condensation water on the Cover Evap flows outside drain plate
. There is 2mm gap at the bottom of EPS where 2 pieces EPS jointed
Defrost water and condensation water flows through the gap to the bottom beyond the
water drain plate area

. The guiding gutter extension length out of the cover EPS is not enough
Water will splash outside the drain plate

STEP03 :

① Change the new Cover EVAP DA97-11823A

. ①② there is 1 piece of tape W25*L70 cover the jointed area.
. ③④ Use W20*L260 size aluminium tape on both sides of EVAP plate
. ⑤ Slope angle decrease 8°

How to fix Water leakage, clogged drain

Cause Leakage due to clogged drain hose from alien particle or frozen drain hose
Cause Leakage due to drain hose deviation or flow sensor part crack
Cause Leakage due to door gasket seal, defrost sensor and fuse defect

Error effect Water flowing from underneath the refrigerator intermittently

1. Cause of bottom leakage within refrigerator

Check customer mistake while using the product: Door not completely closed
Using product clogged drain hose from foreign particle
Clogged drain hose from freezing: Freezing by defrost sensor and fuse defect
Leakage due to door gasket seal defect (Dew drops formed on inner side)

2. Cause of leakage on the rear side of the product

Leakage due to drain hose deviation
Leakage due to drain water tray damage and deviation
Leakage due to water valve plunger (rotator) damage and water supply hose abrasion etc

15mm↑NG
13mm : Good

STEP02 : Check Gasket Assembly, Gasket Gap between doors and Cabinet.
① Check Gasket assembly Status
② Gasket Gap between Freezer/Fridge Door and Cabinet. It must be within 13mm
③ If not, reassemble the gasket or replace new one

Adjust
Levelling

STEP03 : Check whether Freezer/Fridge Door closed

① Check whether Freezer/Fridge Door is closed.
② The closures of door must be perfect to ensure proper sealing.
③ Finding door is not close properly, adjust levelling.
If the front of the appliance is slightly higher than the rear, Turn the adjusting legs
clockwise to raise and counter-clockwise to lower the height.

DA61-06796A Heat of defrost heater does not transfer to drain hole well
(CLIP DRAIN EVAP REF) and drain hole's frozen ,
Water during defrost may overflow drain pan.

STEP06 : Add drain clip on heater to improve heater transfer

① Attach Drain clip(DA61-06796A) on heater and Put tain into drain hole
② Adjust Drain clip to be attached on heater firmly using long nose plier

Drain Plate
Alignment NG

STEP07 : Check drain plate alignment

① Check freezer evaporator drain plate alignment.
If Drain plate and Drain Hole not in close contact with each other, frost may occur
② Adjust the position of drain plate and put the AL tape to be fixed for attaching
