Company Profile:
SAFEW Technology Labs, established in September 2007, is a software start-up based

in Hyderabad, India. We specialize in Ruby on Rails, AJAX on Rails and Web 2.0
technologies apart from being experts in MySQL, Linux, HTML and CSS
development.
At SAFEW, our mission is twofold: First, ensuring that every SAFEW employee is as
happy and contented as they can be,delivering powerful and second,great value-for-
money solutions to our customers. In short, our focus is Customer Delight and
Employee Satisfaction since the two are closely related.
Team SAFEW:
Team SAFEW consists of our star lead developers Hasmukh Rathod and Puneet
Pandey whose diligence has brought SAFEW the status it has today.
They are backed by trainees Kishore Kumar, Dinesh and Rizwana who have been
delivering like professionals even during their training phase.
Apart from the development team, Priyank Sheth is our Ubuntu Administrator along
with Saurabh and Raghav who are the chief promoters of SAFEW.

www.constantcontact.com, used to create
custom based Newsletters and send it out to
various people who have subscribed to it. The
system enables, creation of a newsletter, the
contact can be selected from the existing pages
and added to it, and could be schedule to send
at a particular date and time. It also facilitates
archiving of newsletters. It also generates
unique public link for newsletter archives for a
particular user.

the project: • Gurutravels.us is a Website for a US based
Travel Compnay called Guru Travels.Apart from
the static site,it also contains admin part with
which we can manage customer details,serach
and manage the customer records.

In the execution of these projects, the emphasis has been on Agile Processes- Unit
Testing, Functional Testing (using Selenium), and Continuous Integration (using
Cruise Control).
Project management: The focus has been on Weekly Integration and Release (Fast
Release) and Daily Reviews via random meetings. Project Management is facilitated
via the use of Basecamp with integrated TADA list for task setting and goal
achievement tracking. The same tools are also used for bug tracking and raising
issues.
Outsourced/Offshore experience:
As can be seen from the above project descriptions, almost all of our work has been
done offshore, with most of the clients being located outside India.
Concerns/Issues faced due to Outsourcing:

As far as delivery goes, there have been no major concerns. However, one challenge
that may need to be addressed better is timely communication with the client, by the
client. We have never been unavailable to any of our clients at the times requested by
them. But one more than one occasion the client has not been able to attend pre-
planned calls or has not communicated relevant details on time that has led to a loss
of 1 or 2 working days for us. This is not a major concern as this can be worked out
and is person specific.

Milestones Achieved:
Our client, www.digialfaith.org sent us an appreciation for finishing an application

requested by them in record time, with amazing accuracy.
We also made life easy for several share/stock brokers in Hyderabad by launching an
application that manages their Personal Share Records and Tax calculations. SAFEW
is coming out with a complete product for this, shortly.
