o Financial services and technology (FinTech): Payment Gateway, POS, mPOS, e-POS, Digital Wallet (e-Wallet and m-Wallet),
lifestyle and loyalty systems, connectivity with the national switch, interfacing and integration with multiple Real Time
Gross Settlement (RTGS) systems, Blockchain, and various B2B and B2C applications for autonomous investments, wealth
management, and personal financial services.
o Smart sensors and IoT based system for Agro-fisheries: Hydroponics, Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), Aquaponics
(multi-species yield), online and offline connected marketplace, and vertical and precision farming.
o Manufacturing and production of medicine and pharmaceuticals: Generic drugs as well as R&D for personalized medicine,

Syntec Global: Project Director, Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) Mar 2018 – Jun 2018
• Headhunted to serve as the International Subject Matter Expert and Project Director for the digital transformation and
automation of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital (ShSMCH), an 800-bed hospital built in 1963, one of
Bangladesh's oldest and largest public healthcare facilities. ShSMCH is the pilot with another 160 public hospitals in the
pipeline to be completed in the next 5 years. Reported to the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
Director General of Health Services, and the Ministry of Finance.
• Applied Design Thinking and Human Centered Design, and exercised Outcome Driven Innovation (ODI) principles and Jobs
To Be Done (JTBD) framework to create and validate end to end customer (patient) journeys as well as the entire workflow
for all involved stakeholders, internal and external.
• Developed the entire digital transformation strategy, action plan, execution framework, impact assessment metrics, Key
Performance Indicators (KPI), and measures of success including caregiver's training, community engagement and outreach.
• Generated a step by step commercial revenue and monetization plan for the government and the hospital.
• Created the standard for Health Information Exchange (HIE) between all public hospitals run and to be run on the platform
with the stringent data privacy and governance regulations modeled after HIPAA and FHIR HL7.
• Defined the scope of the project for the entire automation: Patient Registration & Identity Management (PRIM), Patient &
Ward Management, Electronic Medical Records, ERP, Analytics and Business Intelligence, Patient Portal.

Sidra Medicine: Head of Digital (Platform & Technology, Design and Content, Marketing) Jun 2013 – Jan 2018
• Established the Digital unit within the Communications department overlooking all enterprise systems, custom web and
social platforms, web and native mobile applications, cloud-based systems, audiovisual and interactive digital media, and
publishing. Write the unit strategy, objectives, scope of services, plan and supporting projects charters, process flows,
policies and procedures according to The Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. Created the unit budget and
resource plan for 2013-2018. In charge of budget allocation, resource planning and management, and day-to-day operations.
• Served as the communications and technical focal point from Communications and Patient Experience department for
Information Technology (IT), Innovation and Mobility (InvM), Information Management (IM), and Medical Informatics (MI)
advising on Sidra’s Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), Learning Management System (LMS), Customer
Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), Electronic Medical
Record (EMR), Patient Electronically Accessible Record for Life (PEARL), Public Patient Portal (PPP), Health Information
Exchange (HIX), Public Information Screens (PIS), and Patient Entertainment System (PES), and Digital Health Informatics
(DHI). Guide the Communications and Patient Experience department to adapt and adopt W3C web content (WCAG) and
mobile accessibility guidelines and Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA). Introduce and encourage the use of
Creative Commons (CC) licensing for applicable and appropriate Sidra produced content.
• Spearheaded Sidra’s iOS and Android consumer health informatics mobile application named “MySidra HealthBook” and
internal staff communications mobile app named “Sidra Pulse.” MySidra HealthBook provides users information on general,
women’s, and pediatric health topics as well as a range of tools for condition management, tracking, logging, and reporting.
Sidra Pulse app allows Sidra’s envisioned 5000+ employees to connect, collaborate, engage, and socialize.
• In charge of all multimedia, audio-visual and rich media content, including but not limited to brand films, recruitment,
marketing, campaign, training, and procedural videos, podcasts, audio interviews, image bank and photo libraries. Daily
responsibilities include defining the Scope of Work (SoW) for agencies and liaise with Communications, Operations,
Procurement, Finance, and Legal for agency/vendor onboarding. Upon successful appointment of vendor, work closely with
each agency to ensure apposite project delivery from ideation to completion in alignment of Sidra’s key messages, mission,
vision and objectives, Sidra Communication department’s strategy, goals, and plans, as well as project specific needs and
expected output, outcomes, and impact. Produced a corporate video that resulted to Sidra's winning of the bid to host the
World Federation of Association of Pediatric Surgeons (WOFAPS) in 2017.
• Business, technical, and functional owner of Sidra’s Patient Entertainment System (PES) integrated with 10+ systems, and
Public Information Screen (PIS) integrated with the way-finding system (SCALA). Mange the project taskforce ensuring
correct requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, deployment, and testing are complete within the
contracted timeline and budget adhering to agreed project and change management framework (AGILE).
• Piloted Sidra’s pioneering community web Radio and TV project in collaboration with Sidra’s Community Relations and
Outreach, and Patient Education department. Overseeing the team from conceptualization, product development and
engineering, infrastructure establishment and utilization, audience analysis and stratification, content production and
delivery, operations, quality of service and customer satisfaction, ratings measurement, and future programming.
Introducing crowdsourcing in the local community for viral content, engagement, and gamification. Also, leading the
discussions and negotiations with numerous radio and TV channels with a special focus on content delivery over mobile
devices in high traffic as well as poor signal strength and bandwidth.
• Collaborated with the rest of the units in Sidra Communications as well as other external teams to ensure Sidra's digital
initiatives are world-class and state of the art. Advise on projects and workgroups and evaluate technical and commercial
offers for various tenders pertaining to media and technology. Assist in daily operations of the Communications department
such as, convert collaterals and physical campaigns to digital, deploy technology to enhance networking opportunities and
