Two elements tied together in
a simple, obvious way.

1. combined the pencils to make

a fence

2. made the cherries be hearts

3. loved the simpleness

and symmetry - not quite
symmetrical due to shading of

4. completed completely by circles

5. the 5 is turned and becomes the

‘o’ and part of the ‘n’

6. simple and symmetrical, but still

interesting

7. the edges of the diagonal pencils

align to create a “border” that the
eyes see

6 7 8 9 10 8. simple combining of leaf and tree

9. zebra created from shapes

10. open paper clip to create a heart

11. scissors also look like glasses

and a mustache

12. negative space in the ‘p’ created

by the pelican

13. combines ideas with music

notes creating a star

off

15. ‘w’ and ‘m’ look like a keyboard

16. where the letters cut off creates

a ‘line’ that zigzags

17. simple circles

18. dog’s face a bone

19. lighthouse is a pen

1. I like #13 with the books behind

the window with rain in front

2. I like #14 where the books sort of

align with the mountains - simple
shapes

3. I like #27 with the books in the

rain cloud

4. I like #31 with the books

representing the mountains.
Clean simple shapes

5. I like #33 with the books behind

the window with the snow drift

6. I like #35 where the cabin is built

with the books. (well at least it is

trying to be...)

logo ideas?
I ended up changing my original idea so this round
of sketching I had many more ideas than I did in the
previous lesson.

How did you choose which logos to digitize?

I chose the logos to digitize based primarily on the ones
that grabbed me. I did not really think through which
ones would be the easiest, or at least somewhat easy.

What new things did you learn about Adobe

Illustrator while digitizing your logos?
This week I learned that the layers in Illustrator are
manipulated and controlled slightly differently than with
the program I’m used to using. It resulted in a lot of ‘ctrl’
Cheesecake and a Dr. Pepper
+ z as I had to undo what I had done often.
