sents an automotive firm
called Local Motors.
Intel and BMW bet-
ting on autonomous
cars
Both companies are already wor-
king on the development of these
vehicles
The scene was presented on
the first day of the Intel De-
veloper Forum (IDF) in San
Francisco, it coincided with
the news that Ford will lau-
nch its autonomous vehicles
in 2020. This same 'wave' of
cars with development
much more advanced tech-
nology entered the German
firm BMW and developer of
US Intel chips.

ould you trust your safety to a super technological device that take
you from the bus stop to your house? It is very likely that in ten
years you are raising these questions, as autonomous cars are already a
reality.
That is, if the autonomous cars arrived to Bogota, initially would be part of
public mobility, and would transit routes zonal now cover pedicabs. Bet-
ween 2015 and 2016, the District received proposals -to fund with money
from royalties- aimed at developing prototypes and transport models with
these devices. However, so far they have not been approved, demonstra-
ting that the technology gap still remains in the country.
Giants like Google, Tesla, Uber, Mercedes Benz and BMW have these pro-
totypes, but still needs more regulation in countries, many of them fearful
that fatal accidents are generated. The Chinese government, for example,
imposed strong measures to those who want to develop these products
