Background:Big baby or known as macrosomia, or Giant Baby is a condition
which the babies are weighing over 4 kilograms. The Incidence varies between 8 to 10 per cent of total births. Aim: To determine the relations between Multiparities and Diabetes Mellitus with Macrosomia incidences in Regional General Hospital of Andi Makkasau Parepare on 2018. Methods: This study used Analytical Surveys using quantitative methods with cross sectional design, The population in this study were all pregnant women with the interpretation of fetal weight over 4000 grams were obtained at the time of Leopold by midwives examination and ultrasound examinations by the doctors who recorded in the register book in Regional General Hospital of Andi Makkasau Parepare on 2018, The samples in this study were 13 respondents who found during research in the period March to September using the sampling technique by Accidental Sampling. Primary data collections were done through data (questionnaire) and secondary data. The data were processed using the Statistical Product And Service Solution (SPSS) 20 and analyzed by univariate and bivariate statistical tests by Fisher Exact Test and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Results:There is a significant relation between Multiparities with Macrosomia incidences in Regional General Hospital of Andi Makkasau Parepare on 2018 (ρ- value = .001 ˂0,05). There is a significant relation between Diabetes Mellitus With Macrosomia incidences in Regional General Hospital of Andi Makkasau Parepare on 2018 (ρ-value =, 021 <0.05). Conclusion: There are significant relations between multiparities and Diabetes Mellitus with Macrosomia incidences in Regional General Hospital of Andi Makkasau Parepare on 2018.
