Objective

I am a new graduate RN that demonstrates leadership, effective communication, and a positive attitude. I encourage and practice
teamwork, knowing that this is not only the key to success for unit staff, but also the healing of patients. The skillset I possess allows
me to handle an emergency and work well under pressure. I currently working in a community hospital on the pediatric floor with the
goal to enhance my skill set. I am seeking a full-time RN position within the pediatric field.

Competencies of Nursing Practice (Fall of 2016) 75 hours


This clinical experience consisted of direct care with acutely ill patients, direct care simulations, and observational experiences. This
course was completed to satisfaction of the college’s standards.

Competencies of Nursing Practice (Spring of 2017) 75 hours


This clinical experience consisted of externships at Memorial Regional Medical Center’s emergency department, St. Mary’s
emergency department, and St. Francis’ emergency department. IV and urinary catheter placement skills were practiced in these
locations as well as participation in Code Blue. I practiced administering blood and end of life care. Lastly, I observed dialysis and
went to the VAT/IC center at MRMC.
Adult Nursing Science I Practicum (Spring of 2017) 135 hours
Clinical hours completed at MRMC Cardio/Pulmonary Unit. Reflections, concept maps, peer review, community agency project, 92
hours of direct care acute, direct care simulations, clinical observations.

Adult Nursing Science II Practicum (Fall of 2017) 135 hours


Completed at St. Mary’s hospital on the General Surgery unit, Oncology Unit, and Adult Intensive Care unit. In addition, I was able to
complete an observation at the VCU pediatric emergency department as well as DaVita Dialysis.

Mental Health Practicum (Fall of 2017) 90 hours


Completed at St. Mary’s hospital on the psychiatric unit, Richmond Community hospital on the psychiatric unit, the Marshall Center,
Cumberland Children’s hospital, and the Lakeside Center. I also completed an observation at Alcoholics Anonymous.

Nursing Care of Children and Families Practice (Spring of 2018) 90 hours


Completed at St. Mary’s on the pediatric unit, Children’s Hospital at the Brook Road campus, and an observation at Leaf Spring
daycare.

Nursing Care of Women and Childbearing Families (Spring of 2018) 90 hours


Completed at Memorial Regional Medical Center in the birthplace. This consisted of antepartum care, intrapartum care, and
postpartum care. Vaginal and cesarean births were observed.
