STEPS FOR DETERMING THE RLC EQUIVALENT CIRCUIT BY USING CST

DESIGN STUDIO

1. Design your RLC circuit by using the circuit elements from the Block Selection Tree of CST
Design Studio.

2. The port can be selected using the yellow colored box marked as “1” in the task bar.

3. To simulate the design RLC circuit, select SIMULATION tab from the task bar and then
select NEW TASK.
4. A new window will appear, select S-Parameters.

5. Specify your frequency range and click OK.

6. Click the UPDATE button from the task menu to get the result.
7. The results can be viewed from the S-Parameters panel under the Tasks panel in Navigation
Tree.

8. The results should look like the figure below.

9. To create two port, add one more port


10. To set the output of S-parameters, S11, S12, S21 and S22 Click new task.

11. Use the S-parameters simulation task, and create S-parameters result.
12. To create two-pin port, click on the differential tab.
