Table 1 summarizes the main features of the Cisco Modeling Labs Corporate Edition server.
Feature Description
Multiclient support Using a PC or Mac Cisco Modeling Labs client, multiple users can access and share the resources of a
single Cisco Modeling Labs server.
Point-and-click design Replicate or design new virtual topologies using routing protocol attributes, addressing schemes, and image
types.
Configuration generation and Take advantage of automatically generated device configurations and graphical views of routing protocols to
protocol visualization test and validate designs.
Virtual-to-Physical Connectivity Connect a virtual network to a physical device or network in the lab to allow for a range of other activities,
such as connecting and testing using traffic generators, and using automation scripts and network
management tools.
User management Control authorized access to projects for multiple users, as well as manage user credentials, images, and
resource allocations.
Virtual Cisco IOS for router Use virtual Cisco IOS routers compiled from the exact same Cisco IOS code as your physical Cisco
simulation hardware.
Heterogeneous design and Heterogeneous design and simulation: Cisco IOS XRv and CSR1000v virtual images available as options.
simulation: Cisco IOS XRv and
CSR1000v virtual images
available as options.
Virtual server for end-host Create your own virtual servers, running in the simulation, for purposes such as jump hosts, traffic
simulation generation, and scripting.

Upgrade Path
Cisco Modeling Labs 1.0 Corporate Edition does not replace an existing product. There is no migration or transition
requirement for the first release. Customers are responsible for their own hardware to meet the necessary system
requirements and the VMware ESXi 5.1 hypervisor to run the Cisco Modeling Labs server.
R-CML-CE-K9= The base package includes the Cisco Modeling Labs 1.0 software. The license comes with 10 nodes plus, for
no additional cost, 5 nodes for a total of 15 nodes.
L-CML-CE-10N= An expansion pack that enables increments of 10-node capacities to be added to the base package.
L-CML-CE-50N= An expansion pack that enables increments of 50-node capacities to be added to the base package.
L-CML-CE-100N= An expansion pack that enables increments of 100-node capacities to be added to the base package.
Note: Nodes relate to Cisco IOS images only. Server images are unlimited.
Technical support is provided under the Cisco Software Application Services agreement attached to the product.
