Effective learning – ability to learn from a range of situations and apply learning in a variety of contexts

I have contributed into voluntary work during my time at college and so this does transfer to my academic studies. I have taken a Duke of
Edinburgh Bronze Award as well and so I did gain a lot of skills at that time and did a lot of teamwork practice and so this helped me to
demonstrate the skill when we have to do group work.

Reasoning skills – ability to defend argument using logical and systematic thinking based on sound evidence
I do make much use of using a wide range of sources from books and articles when I have to present my courseworks and assignments. I have to
provide as much evidence as I can to show proof of what I have found and also must reference my findings for this too.

Reflection – ability to reflect on and critique own performance

After I receive a feedback from my tutors, I make sure to read carefully on what went well and if there is slight improvements or mistakes that I
need to take consider of for the next time I will get for another assignments. When I read feedbacks it makes me think on what I should really do
in order not to make mistakes again and so therefore I take on board as to what I have to do and I write down notes to be clear with myself. I also
do take my time to reflect on my work.

Study Skills - Ability to manage and prioritise time to meet deadlines

- Ability to identify relevant sources of information, including people and reference material
- Ability to use a library to find books and journal articles
- Ability to take notes, organize them, and integrate them with other sources of information
- Ability to reference materials using an appropriate system, e.g., Harvard or Vancouver

For my study skills, I know it is important to make sure I am prepared for what is coming in terms of college lessons and the coursework that I’m
given. So therefore, I must take acknowledge on certain situations and to remind myself of what work needs to be completed by and how I can
do this to achieve. I set myself a timetable to know what task I need to do and give myself a time management of when it should be done by. I
take prioritise to my work and so I am able to manage time to meet deadlines. I am able to find relevant sources of information though using
Google Classroom where my tutors add notes and links so it will help me with my assignment or accessing to the internet to find out and
research information. With this, I must reference all of my findings and so I use a toolbox which is Harvard and this creates an appropriate
reference. If I have free lessons, I sometimes pop into the college study of centre, or the centre of excellence to finish off any given work that I
need to complete and so I don't waste time.
