THE RELATIONSHIP OF AGE AND UTERINE PROLAPSE INCIDENTAT IN RSUD
DUSTIRA 2012

ABSTRACT
The background of this research that many sufferers of uterine prolapsed
especially an increasing age, and the incident like an “iceberg”, the case so many
but that surfaced only a little. The uterine prolapsed is does not a mortal, but to be
one kind of reproductive disorders that can be experienced by women who are
elderly and high parities, due to muscle weakness ligaments that hold the uterus.
Obtained from the initial assessment, that the age effect on the incidence of uterine
prolapse.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of age to the incidence
of uterine prolapse.
The method used in this study is analytic description of the type of study design is
cross-sectional. The population in this study is all patients who come to the hospital
Dustira Obstetrics Polyclinic in 2012. Collecting data were analyzed using univariate
with percentages, and bivariate statistics using chi square test.
Based on the analysis of the results of the study concluded that the age was not
associated with the incidence of uterine prolapse with a value of P = 0.471 at α =
0.05.
The results of this study concluded that there was no relationship of age to the
incidence of uterine prolapse. The result is expected for the hospital to provide
patient counseling are routine circumstances by the hospital about how the initial
treatment of uterine prolapse, and in women who have not categorized the elderly,
however, including the high parity, let will likely happen uterine prolapse. Because of
the study, there was no relationship between age and incidence of uterine prolapse.
