I know the turbos are popular. Has anyone done a supercharger for one?

Yup, a few have done it, guy named OHC230 on Turboford has, believe he said he wouldn't do it again though. Also a
Ranger guy did it on Ranger Power Sports forum I think. If the Lima 2.3 had better air flow qualities and a bit more
N/A power it might work out okay, but in its present form the turbo excels in making power.

I also want to say B&M had a kit in the early 80s late 70s perhaps too, roots style.

Just wondering cause a roots from a supercoupe is up for sale and I perfer the SC over the TC. IMO SC's have a more
control with boost per rpm/load. I might buy it, try as a next winter's project

Get a cam that''ll promote low end torque, since that's where most of your power is gonna be lost from the parasitic
drag of turning the supercharger.
Also look up the Mercedes SLK230 Kompressor to gauge what size supercharger they use on their 2.3s. I know the
1.8?L Toyotas used M42s on the MR2s.

stock turbo short block, ported esslinger head, cam, inter cooler intake, 3.5" exhaust, SC brackets, pullies. Looking for
about 400wrhp. Some how I don't think the supercoupe charger will do those numbers. Maybe 350rwhp.

And that is why one of the guys I mentioned said they'd never do it again. The Eaton M90 "might" squeek out 400. I
want to say the Supercoupe had the M62. Same as found on the Pontiac GTPs, while the M90 is found on the
supercharged Saleen Mustangs and a few other vehicles.

The Supercoupes had M90s. The later ones (94-95 I believe) had improved inlets. The Pontiac GP GTPs had M90s as
well with coated rotors. Lots of T-bird SC enthusiasts put the Pontiac rotors in thier cars. The earlier Bonneville SSEi
had M62s.
If you're looking for something to keep you busy, and want something different in your car, go for it. Take lots of pics
to show us your progress if you do it.

i wonder if while you are in there, tap oil lines into the front cover and run it off of the back oil log/pressure sensor

mount to always have fresh oil in the gear drive, or if that would add too much drag...but i guess it is easy enough to

Actually supercharging was the main point of this thread with a side thought of compound charging using a turbo
blowing into a super.
