INTRODUCTION

This Narrative report contains the experiences

learning’s, insight gained and some supporting
documents required for the project in Cookery. On the
Job training (OJT) is a job training that occurs in the
work place. It is one of the best training methods
because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the
employee’s worksite.

This is very important not only to teach students

their chosen career but to show students the reality
about working. OJT will be the training ground. This
practicum is big thing for the student. This is the one
of the earliest forms of training. On-the-Job Training
helps the student to be more responsible and learn new
experiences.

EXPERIENCES
My whole OJT experienced was really a great
memory to remember. I started my OJT On the- Job-
Training in La Residencia,Tanjay City. I worked for 80
hours. It took a month and a half to finish. It was
November 22, 2017 when I started my first day of my
OJT. At first it was fun and full of excitement. We are
so excited. That was my first time to worked with my
friends.

My first worked was in the window glasses. They

gave us a cloth to wipe the glasses. It was fun because
my friends are there.

KITCHEN
As days goes on I became more responsible person.
Sometimes I helped madam in the kitchen; they teach
me how to cut the vegetables with different sizes and
designs, and to serve the orders to the costumer. I
also washed the dishes and the most important of all
the hygiene. We should wash our hands.

 GUEST ROOM
The most unforgettable experienced in my OJT was
the day we cleaned the room 5. It was the unknown
foreigner who checked in. His room was so disgusting.
There are used cigarettes was scattered on the floor.
Bottles of alcoholic drinks were broken. There are
pillows and foam was wet and the bathroom was dirty.
In my 18 years of existence, I cleaned many rooms in
my life but this was the worst room. It was a messy
room. It took us 1 hour and half to clean the room. The
foreigner was banned in La Residencia because of his
attitude.

For me, On the Job Training or Practicum is a big thing.

Not only for myself but also to the all the students like
me. I can apply this in my future. OJT is not easy. I
also develop my social abilities. I can say that it would
be easy for me to adjust in the future.

CONCLUSION

I was able to learned new things. I learned new

skills and I gained knowledge. Every day is a challenge
for me, I have to wake up early in the morning to go to
school and in the afternoon I have to go to hotel to do
my OJT. On the Job Training or Practicum is a big
thing for me. I gained more self-confidence. I learned
how to adjust with the different attitudes of
workmates. Aside from the training that I got, it’s the
experience and learning that I acquired and will be
gaining for the upcoming days which made it more
essential. I learned also to boost my confidence and
pay attention to attend guest needs. Within those
months I already learned a lot of things, more than
what I expected. I believe that ‘’ Experience is the
best teacher’’. It may be hard at first, but once we
learn to appreciate and love what we’re doing, it
became easier and easier every day.
