 Timberland Boot Company is
inspired by New England and
northern England from 1900–
1945—an era that marked a
change in how goods were
made, used and worn.
Frugality, inventiveness, grit and determination prevailed.
The Great Depression and war affected everyone’s lives.
People did what needed to be done with a resourcefulness
guided by conditions, technologies and assets surrounding
them. There was transformation in goods themselves—
whether by the elements, physical aging, normal wear,
repair, misuse or neglect. Items became storytellers.

Our boots and shoes tell a story. One of quality through

the use of only the most premium materials, like genuine
Horween® leathers. One of uniqueness and timelessness
through new time-honored varnished finishes and styles
of the Colrain Reissue Collection. One of responsibility and
values, deeply rooted in a heritage of pragmatic Yankee
manufacturing. This is our story. The Fall 2009 Collection.
