Graduating Exhibition of Faculty of Design Innovation

 Introduction

Each year, the graduating students of the Faculty of Design Innovation

from Limkokwing University showcases their finest work to the public.
This involvement includes students from Professional Design (Visual
Communication), Industrial Design, and Creative Imaging in Digital
Photography all coming together in harmony to showcase spectacular
projects, inspired from their own unique backgrounds and cultures.

This year, the theme of the exhibition is “Inner Voice” and revolves around
how we can express our thoughts. As 2018 comes to a close, it has been
both exhilarating and challenging; the feminist movement hit strong with the
‘#metoo’ campaign and LGBTQ fought harder than ever for human rights
and acknowledgment, as did several other ethnic and celebrity communities.

Therefore, we the final year students standing at the edge of this new
generation have decided to leap into the action and help push through these
winds of change and step into a new era. We believe the best design reflects
what is true to ourselves, giving birth to precious solutions that answer the
uncertainties of the moment.

Every voice of our exhibit will be reflected throughout the students'

masterpiece. We hope that this Exhibition will challenge your introspection
of the past while pushing you to move forward into the future with a creative
and open mind.

Acknowledgement
First and foremost, I would like to express
my outmost thanks to Limkokwing University
for providing us a platform for our graduate
showcase, and also all the lecturers for
navigating us throughout this journey of
preparing our exhibition - ups and downs
are to be expected, but we would like to take
this chance to thank Mr. Simon Wong for
his advices in project management and
public relation. The panel of lecturers-in-
charge were also bold enough to let us
explore the exhibition theme in a rather
radicle way - not based on objects or
settings, feelings nor stereotypical belief,
but rather, focusing on living issues while
answering the open brief of creating
problem-solving designs that should
impact the society.
Next, I would also like to thank all the
teams for their tremendous contribution
despite the ongoing final year project.
The Production team are keen and
efficient in looking after every detail
created for the exhibition; followed by
the ever-decisive Logistic team that
pulled out amazing ideas based on the
theme given; of course, with the support
of the Sponsorship team that managed
to pull in funds from every source they
had; lastly, all efforts were amplified
by the Social Media team to reach out
amazing visitors like you. Big gratitude to
respective team leaders.
My biggest gratitude goes towards
the secretary of the exhibition, Pamela
for her ever-positive mindset even in
toughest time of our exhibition. She’s
definitely one of the most pro-active yet
calm secretary that we had the fortune
to work with, her efforts and initiatives
to make this exhibition a better one by
constantly giving constructive feedbacks
is the single reason why she deserves this
single paragraph alone.

Thank you to our beloved vice presidents,
Moesha & Ahmed for helping to
coordinate the team leaders, and fellow
lecturers who had helped indirectly
throughout the process, especially Ms.
Irene who had instilled knowledge on
production and the design process.
It’s our honor to work with all of our

dedication towards this final exhibition.

BPD : The Bachelor of Design (Hons) in

Professional Design is a degree that aims to
progressively develop ones’ creative potential
in conceptualising and using innovative
technical skills. Students will specialise
knowledge of their choice which includes
advertising and multimedia.

CIP : Bachelor of Arts (Hons) of Creative

Imaging in Digital Photography is all about
combining modern theory with relevant
practical skills. This programme is designed
to develop critical thinking process such as
originality, self-expression, creative thinking,
as well as develop visual literacy in evaluating

Design is a subject that allows students to
conceptualise and design new consumer
