RENAISSANCE CLUB ESTABLISHED IN THE YEAR 2007 IS A CLUB ‘BY THE STUDENTS OF THE STUDENTS & FOR
THE STUDENTS’ OF INSTRUMENTATION DEPARTMENT.

RENAISSANCE CLUB-2012-13
IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR(2012-13) OUR CLUB UNDERWNET A COMPLETE MAKEOVER IN
CONSIDERATION WITH THE CHANGING DYNAMICS & THE REQUIREMENT OF THE PRESENT TIME. THE CLUB
NOW HAS A TOTAL OF 6 (SIX ) CATEGORIES TO CATER TO ALL POSSIBLE ACADEMIC & EXTRA CURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES, A DETAIL list of which is given later in the document.

The Governing body consists of five core members.

BODY WILL BE THE FINAL DECISION IN ANY CASE.

INDUSTRIAL INSTITUTE INTERACTION CELL(IIIC)

THE IIIC HAS BEEN THE NEWEST ENTRANT TO THE CLUB,ESTABLISHED WITH KEEPING IN MIND THE
IMPORTANCE OF INDUSTRY EXPOSURE THE STUDENTS MUST RECEIVE ALONG WITH THE BASIC
ACADEMIC SURRICULUM IMPARTED AT THE INSTTUTE.
THIS CELL HAS HAD QUITE A SUCCESS SINCE ITS INITIATION WITH 100% PLACEMENTS OF STUDENTS IN
VARIOUS REPUTED COMPANIES FOR THEIR INDUSTRIAL TRAINING.

WORKSHOP ON “BASIC ELECTRONICS PROJECTS AND SOFTWARES DEMOS”

The third year students conducted a workshop on basic electronics projects & software demos for the
second year students of Instrumentation & Electrical Department. The response for the workshop was
overwhelming the following pics are a peek into the event:

In order to give the students some exposure to the skill of facing interviews T&P club organized a session on soft skills

INDUSTRIAL VISIT : PARLI POWER PLANT.

The IIIC organized a visit to the Parli power plant to bridge the gap between theoretical & practical knowledge. The visit
was scheduled for a single day. Parli Thermal Power Station has an installed capacity of 1130 MW. The First unit was
commissioned in 1971.The plant is located at located at Parli-Vaijnath in Beed district of Maharashtra. The power plant
is one of the coal based power plants of Mahagenco.

GROUP DISSCUSSION FOR SECOND YEAR

T&P cell organized a workshop to improve the group discussion skill of the second year students . Considering that group
discussion is an important elimination round in almost all major competitive exams & recruitment processes ,this
workshop was the need of the hour.
ARRANGING INDUSTRIAL TRAINING FOR THIRD YEAR
The IIIC was successful in accruing an opportunity for all the T.Y students to undergo industrial training at
various industries. The cell approached new companies this time in order to expand the prevalent industry-
institute relations. According to the academic requirement the training were held for a period of two weeks in
the month of December 2012. The following the venues of industrial training:

PRATIBIMB
It was published in the ‘Economic Times’ that there is no Chinese who talks
negative about his country and there is no Indian who talks no negative
about his country. This negativism is incalculated by media in us. Dr. APJ
Abdul Kalam circulated one article through email titled ‘Why media is so
negative’? in which he has thrown light on the negative role of Indian media .
Looking to the scenario, we have decided to start one wall magazine namely
‘PRATIBIMB’ which will bring good things to the readers and will help to
develop healthy attitude of the readers.

‘PRATIBIMB’ is a collection of wall magazines designed and published on


different occasions. It gives a platform to the students to show their hidden
talents, ideas and open the thoughts. Publishing ‘PRATIBIMB’ is a team work.
We are also trying to focus on personality development, Scientific and
technological achievements of our country etc. We are also trying to make
aware the readers of historical events so as to build a strong, secured india.

This activity was started in the year 1998 and till this date we publish
four issues every year ..

INAUGRATION OF “PRATIBIMB” DEPARTMENT WALL MAGAZINE

The department has a tradition of unveiling the departmental wall magazine “PRATIBIMB” twice every year on
15th August & on 26th January. The theme is decided by the students & is in tandem with the present socio-
political scenario of the nation. Every year the magazine is inaugurated by the Hon. Director of the institute
