Little Scientists and Mathematicians (Grades 1-6)


A. Objectives

1. To poster creativity through the application of concepts in Science and


Mathematics.
2. To develop resourcefulness as means of environmental conservation.
3. To nurture cooperation with parents and strengthen home and school
partnership.

B. Guidelines and Mechanics

1. Each section from Grades 1-6 must have a representative.


2. There will be a draw lots of the Scientist and Mathematician that each
participant will represent.
3. The participant should creatively represent the chosen Scientist or
Mathematician through a costume or props.
4. The costume SHOULD NOT contain materials with sharp edges (mirrors or
glass, etc.) or flammable materials to avoid any harm to the model.
5. Costumes that will hinder the model to walk is highly discouraged.
6. Each representative will wear their costume during the opening of Math and
Science Week.
7. After the parade each representative will give a brief description about the
Scientist or Mathematician assigned to them.
8. Creative costumes will be judged after the parade.
9. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.
