    This case report describes a rare case of giant placental chorioangioma and the fetal-maternal outcomes at a hospital in Manado, Indonesia in 2017. A 32-year-old woman experienced a spontaneous vaginal delivery at 31-32 weeks of gestation of a single female baby weighing 2100g with multiple congenital anomalies. The placenta weighed an unusually large 2400g. The newborn died 1 hour after delivery due to hemodynamic and respiratory failure. The mother received a 500cc blood transfusion due to postpartum hemorrhage of 1100ml but was discharged after 3 days of observation.     Abstract

    Background
    Giant placental chorioangioma have been associated with a number of severe fetal complications
    and high perinatal mortality. Giant vascular chorioangioma render a challenge to obstetricians with
    their potential critical complications adversely altering fetal-maternal outcome. Diagnosis is
    suspected antenatally by ultrasound and Doppler studies, and is corroborated by histopathology
    post-delivery.

    Objective
    To report a rare case of Giant Placental Chorioangima and Fetal-Maternal outcome at Prof. DR
    R.D Kandou Hospital Manado 2017

    Case Report
    We report a case of P1A0 32 years old with Giant Placental Chorioangioma, giving spontaneous
    vaginal delivery at 31-32 weeks of gestation, single female baby was born, head presentation
    weight 2100gr with multiple congenital anomaly fetus. Continued with manual placenta due to
    prolonged third stage of labor, placental weight 2400gr . The newborn baby died 1 hour later due
    to hemodynamic and respiratory failure. The mother was given 500 cc blood transfusion due to
    post partum hemorrhage (1100ml) and was discharged home three days after observation.

    Conclusion
    The incidence of giant placental chorioangioma is relatively low, but its diagnosis and
    management runs serious role avoiding antenatal complications and Fetal-Maternal outcome. In
    this case the baby died due to hemodynamic and respiratory failure and the mother is well treated
    without any severe complication.
