Dear Dr. Poe,

I am writing to express my interest in the registered nurse position on the labor and delivery unit at UAB
Hospital. As a soon to be graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery’s BSN program this December, my
experience aligns well with the qualification posted. After completing clinicals in labor and delivery, it became
clear that women’s health is where my passion lies. UAB has an excellent reputation for providing premier
maternity care to the Birmingham area. I would be honored to become apart of UAB’s dedicated team. I have a
dynamic background, and beneficial experience as a medical technician and an intern in emergency medicine. I
am continuing to gain more experience as I precept on a medical surgical unit at Jackson Hospital, and on a
labor and delivery unit at Baptist Healthcare East.
