Thanks for purchasing a PSP CFW card!

Below are some instructions on how to install the custom firmware, and how to add games to your PSP
system.

In order to add games to the memory card, you will require either an SD card reader (which can be used
thanks to the microSD to SD card adapter included with this order), or a PSP compatible USB cable.

Checking Firmware version on your PSP

in order to install CFW 6.60 Pro-C, your PSP will need to be on official system firmware 6.60.

To check which firmware your PSP is currently running you will need to go to the settings section of the
menu, on the far left of the home screen. After this scroll down to "System Settings", then find the
"System information" option.

If you are running system software 6.60 then you can go on to the next step

If you are running a version lower than 6.60, then you will need to update using the update file which is
included on the card. This can be found under "Game-> Memory stick". Simply press "x" and follow the
instructions.

If your PSP is running system software 6.61, you will need to downgrade to 6.60 using the "chronoswitch
downgrades" which can also be found under "Game -> Memory stick". PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY
COMPATIBLE WITH PSP DEVICES UP TO MODEL 9G.

Installing CFW 6.60 Pro-C

To install the custom firmware on your PSP, you simply need to go to "Game -> Memory stick" and find
the Pro Update file (please note this file will not have a title but the thumbnail with have the words "pro
update" on it).

Simply press "x" and follow the instructions. Once your PSP has rebooted to the home screen, check the
system information in the same way as you did for the first step, if your system software is "6.60 PRO-
C", you have successfully installed the custom firmware.

Your PSP will now be able to load the emulators included on the card, as well as any other homebrew or
backup PSP/PSX games you put on the card.

Please note that if you power down your PSP you will need to run the "660 PRO-C Fast Recovery" file to
activate the custom firmware, however simply using sleep mode will not require this.

There is an option to permanently install the CFW so that you don't need to run fast recover by using the
"CIPL Flasher" file, but PLEASE USE CAUTION, as it is only compatible with certain models of PSP
(PSP1000 and non TA-088v3 PSP2000s) and can cause serious issues if
used on an incompatible PSP. If you have done your research and are certain that your PSP is compatible
then all that needs to be done to use the flasher is to open the "CIPL Flasher" file on your PSP. DO NOT
turn off your PSP while the CFW is installing permanently, this can brick your PSP.

Using the Retro emulators

Your PSP Memory card comes loaded with 5 these emulators:

Picodrive — Sega Megadrive/Genesis emulator

Nested -- NES emulator
SNES9X Euphoria — Super Nintendo emulator
Master Boy — Sega Master System/Game Gear/Gameboy/ Gameboy colour emulator
gpSP — Gameboy advance emulator
Race — NeoGeo Pocket/Colour
e[mulator emulator] — Wonderswan/ TurboGrafx 16 (PC Engine)

To load ROMs (games) onto the emulators, you will need to connect your PSP to a computer via USB, or
connect the SD card to your computer. The ROM files for each console will need to go into the folder
labelled "ROMs" in the folder for the appropriate emulator, these folders can be found at "PSP ->
GAME" on the card. For the Master Boy, there are 3 ROMs folders, "ROMs GBC" is for Gameboy ROMs,
"ROMs GG" is for Game Gear ROMs, and "ROMs SMS" is for Master System ROMs. Original Gameboy
ROMs should go in the GBC folder too, but the file should be renamed to end ".gbc" instead of ".gb". PC
Engine ROMS should go in the Pa folder, under ROMs in the Wonderswan emulator folder.

You may need to find the correct settings to run a game smoothly on some emulators, please refer to
the online community in order to find the best settings.

PSP Backup games

Backup PSP games, which should be in either the .150 or .CSO file format, simply need to be placed into
the "ISO" folder on the memory card when connected to your computer.

Playstation 1 games

Playstation 1 game files need to be converted to an EBOOT.PBP file in order to run on the CFW PSP.
These are sometimes referred to as "PSX2PSP" games. There are programs that allow you to do this
conversion yourself (Popstation GUI), thought you can find pre-converted files at the website at the end
of this page. If you have any trouble converting your .ISO files to EBOOTs please refer to the huge online
community for help, you should be able to find the info you need through google.

The PS1 file should now be a file called EBOOT.PBP in a folder with a code as the title (e.g. SCUS94227).
This folder tells the PSP which game you have so the name needs to stay as this code (This folder may be
inside a folder with the name of the game as the title). Once you have this folder, simply paste it to the
GAME folder ("PSP -> GAME") and you will be able to play it on your PSP!
